The Gorvatt Palace in Narovlya is a monument of classicism architecture of the 19th century, a historical and cultural value of Belarus. After the revolution, the building housed a Belarusian school. During the occupation, the manor house was used as the headquarters of the German commandant's office. During the liberation from the Nazis, the palace was virtually destroyed during the bombing: the exterior decor, roof, interior - all this sank into oblivion as a result of the fire. In the 50s, the once rich and majestic manor house was reconstructed by the Soviets for a school, but only in their inherent tendencies: no restoration of the original appearance. The fourth power unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant signed the final verdict to the manor house. After the tragedy, most of the residents left the city, and the estate became the patrimony of looters. The building is now fenced off. On November 18, 2020, the Gorvatov Palace became private property, and the process of its revival began.
