It's a very interesting and, in my opinion, beautiful building. Construction began in the Soviet Union in 1985. It was built already in the 2000s . And the idea of creating the Palace of the Republic belonged to Peter Masherov, who was still beloved by Belarusians in the late 70s. The project is gorgeous . Strict classics in symbiosis with rationalism and post-constructivism in modern construction realities. You can scold and say it's boring, or you can, I'm inclined to say it's fine. The building measures exactly 100 by 100 meters. Inside, everything is adapted for events with a large number of spectators. The main hall is huge - 2,700 seats, and there is also a reception hall with a thousand seats and a small hall.
