According to the map, there are two roads leading to this place - one on the south side (which I went through, because it was closer to me), and one on the north side, through the village of Augia — a good paved road, as it turned out on the way back. We are not looking for easy ways, we were not going to give up — we made our way along a long-abandoned path, which, if used, is probably on foot. In Georgian, the Cross is a Jvari. Therefore, this place is called Gonio-Jvari on the maps. The structure is made of concrete, erected in 2014. It is located at an altitude of about 330m, which, in general, allows the average person to reach it on foot without special training directly from the water. Parking is available. There is a magnificent view of the entire Gonio, very beautiful photos can be taken at sunset and just enjoy the sunset.
