The place is as colorful as it is tourist. We visited in anticipation of a tour of the Bosphorus. The prices are designed for tourists, it seemed that the locals do not buy anything here or know their trade secrets. Therefore, let everyone decide for himself whether to buy something or not

Istanbul is the big bazaar. The Egyptian Bazaar is a site in the grand bazaar. There are a lot of goods, active sellers, you can eat sweets. While you try everywhere, you only go home to drink tea🤣😝

I'm not a fan of oriental bazaars, so I assumed that I wouldn't like it much) but I decided to visit anyway to have an opinion. We were on Monday, it was not very crowded, we bought spices and sweets in one corner and in general there was no interest in walking there.. opposite the main entrance of Hagia Sophia there is an outdoor bazaar - I liked it more there - it is more pleasant and atmospheric . And all the same spices and carpets)

Lukum-lukum-lukum. Everyone is treated to lukum. You can't buy it here, only simpletons buy it here. Prices of 450,600, even 900 liras are designed for ignorant tourists. A little further away, you can find it less than 180-200 lira, and even that is expensive. The composition is the same, although they like to pour into their ears about "originality" and "naturalness". Don't listen, but taste :)

Why the stake?
The place is - as they say here - atmospheric and colorful.
It is necessary to come here!
Come, walk, take pictures!
But in no case - UNDER any circumstances - do not buy anything here - unless, of course, the price has at least some meaning for you.
The prices are inflated several times.
They say here, bargain.
It's funny :))
We live in the very center, near Taksim.
There is a budget SOK nearby.
We buy Turkish tea there, 46 lire.
And how much do you think the same pack costs in the Egyptian bazaar?
In one place - 170 (dropped to 140), in another - 150 :)
We love Istanbul, and we come here twice a year.
But the divorce of tourists for money, of course, is annoying…
I am ready to pay 20-40% more, but 4 times....
But make sure to take photos!
And once a year, for the mood, you can come here - and what smells from spices…

If you are a shopaholic, you are not allowed to enter here!!!
But if you have taste, your wallet allows you and the strength to hike several kilometers, you are here!
What is not here! We bought spices, teas, souvenirs. Many things have never been found anywhere in Istanbul.
There is a restaurant of a famous Turk on the territory of the bazaar, but we did not go in.
Definitely here for souvenirs, especially near the beautiful white marble mosque of Nurosmania.
