Our experience at 88 Spa & Resort Hotel left much to be desired, especially considering the high price. Location: The hotel is perched on a hill, making it very inconvenient for tourists wanting to explore Tsakhkadzor. It’s far from the city center and main attractions, which makes accessing popular spots quite difficult. For anyone hoping to sightsee, this is not an ideal location. Facilities & Amenities: We specifically chose this hotel for its pool, only to be informed upon arrival that it would be closed for cleaning during our stay. This was disappointing, as the pool was a major factor in our booking decision. Additionally, we expected a buffet dinner (as advertised in the price), but were instead served fixed dishes due to the low number of guests. This felt misleading, as we had paid for a full buffet experience. Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi was extremely unreliable. If you’re planning to work remotely or need to stay connected, this will likely be a frustration. Completing any online tasks was nearly impossible due to the poor connection. Environment: Another drawback was the sports bar experience. When we went to use the tennis table, we found the lounge filled with people smoking indoors, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere and led us to leave quickly. On the positive side, the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with high-quality beds that made for a restful night’s sleep. The cafeteria staff were also exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding a nice touch to an otherwise disappointing stay. Overall, the hotel does not justify its price. While the room quality and staff service were commendable, the inconveniences and lack of promised amenities make it hard to recommend.

The waiters may not approach for long time, the room service may take long time, you may not find waiters etc. Also the food could be much better (the breakfast is great though). It is located away from the village, absolute silence, beautiful views, a huge hall with a fireplace (although they refused to light it). Live music every evening (violin, piano, guitar..) Breakfast for 4, there is a nice pool and small baths, nice. The rooms are small but cozy. You can't walk to the cable car and even more so back in ski boots, but a taxi arrives in 5 minutes and only 500 AMD. Overall, it feels good, "rich"

I would rate it 7 out of 10. We were in the summer. The place is very cool. The view is amazing. As far as I understand, people just come there to take pictures. Cleaning and catering staff are good from the service. The room service is also good. But the reception is bottomless, they don't tell you anything normally, I paid, they gave me a card and went to the room. The hospitality is not felt. One of the specific disadvantages is the poor condition of the fittings in the room. Something is broken here and there. But the rooms are clean. The cost of services does not match the declared quality. The lack of a veranda limits the possibilities for sunbathing. The interior of the dining room looks unsatisfactory, there is an outdated design of tables. At low load, the buffet can be replaced with a la carte service. The hotel is conveniently located relative to the slope. There is an immediate descent onto a steep highway (it was not a problem for us, everyone rides normally), but you go straight down to the ticket office, and then back from the highway to the hotel! Further, the hotel itself is very beautiful, with marble and wooden finishes. There is a large lobby where you can sit by the fireplace. Sometimes there are concerts. There is a children's room (though very dilapidated), a game room with a playstation (for a fee-2000 an hour), table tennis, billiards, a cinema, a swimming pool, a spa. You don't have to leave the hotel. There is a lot of entertainment. Magnificent views from the window, gorgeous sunrises! Cons: 1- the children played a paid playlist for 2 days, while the reception did not coordinate the paid service with the adults! Of course, it's a small matter of money, we paid for everything, but we need to pay attention to it. Children aged 7 and 9 years old should not order paid services :)) 2- the service in the restaurant (lobby bar) is lame. When 3-4 tables were busy, we had a small order for about an hour. The waiters may not come up, they may not pay attention. They're kind of tense. I recommend sending them to the Yerevan Tavern for an internship, the service there is great! 3- There is not enough drying room or equipment storage room. This is very important for skaters, because the rooms are small and there is virtually no place to put them. All the disadvantages are easy to eliminate, in my opinion! Despite some small disadvantages, I'll put 5, because we liked the hotel and we'll come back here and recommend it! In summer, I think it will be great here too.

We had hot water, the pressure was below average. Some guests complained about the lack of hot water, some did not have cold water. The tank is slowly being filled. In general, the rooms are stylish and cozy. The breakfasts are good. Classic ones. The dinner is terrible. There was no food at the Banquet. At the same time, the cost per person is wow. We were in a lot of restaurants, it was very tasty everywhere. But not at 88. The barbecue was brought cold. 3 cherished mini portions of salad for one person, 9 pieces of salted fish, 6 pieces of smoked sausage... This is a failure. The service of the waiters at the Banquet is completely non-existent, while you need to pay them 10% for the service. I liked the spa. The pool is large but shallow, with a hammam and sauna for 2 people. Resume. The hotel is big, beautiful, in the mountains. Plumbing problems. The breakfasts are good. I strongly do not recommend ordering lunch, dinner and a banquet from them.

The location of the hotel is excellent. I put 5 stars in advance. Among the advantages: a large children's room, a lot of entertainment for adults, everything was clean, large and convenient Parking, a stunning view of the lobby, Alfredo pasta was amazing, breakfast was a buffet type, we were satisfied: a lot of meat dishes and side dishes. Among the minor disadvantages: the water in the pool is slightly cooler than necessary, but ideal for sports swimming. The food in the restaurant was cooked for longer than we would like, almost 40 minutes, the dishes were brought in a strange order and it was not convenient to eat. Drinking water was only in 0.3 glass bottles, it is not convenient when you are thirsty in the room, you need to order many bottles at once. The wifi was good day and night. In the evening, the connection was constantly broken. There is only one coffee machine working at breakfast and there was a constant queue, but maybe I was just unlucky and everyone wanted coffee at once.

Very nice renovated hotel! There is an immediate exit to the ski slope. The best part is that the hotel is located in the mountains and this is the most valuable thing. The quality of service, of course, and the kitchen are still suffering. I think they will be able to fix it soon. We stayed with friends for 4 days for skiing. The hotel is located on the top of a mountain, and can only be reached by taxi along the serpentine. You can also get down to the ski lift by taxi or on the black ski track (the track runs right next to the hotel). The taxi is cheap - 100 rubles to the lift, Yandex taxi works. The hotel offers rental of all ski equipment and even clothes. The prices seemed adequate to me. A complete set of 8000 frames (about 1800-2000 rubles per day) Now, as for the hotel: The building was built on a large scale, but it was absolutely not thought out. a huge lobby with a fireplace, but it's uncomfortable and cold to sit there, because the heating is from an air conditioner, a huge swimming pool that is constantly empty, but at the same time tiny saunas where people sit like herrings in a barrel, a good hammam, but there is a musty smell, one small elevator for 4 people. I would like to divide the hotel in half so that it becomes more comfortable. A huge area, but no use. The hotel is empty on weekdays, and the load has increased significantly on weekends. Our room was a deluxe in the turret - spacious, a good bathroom, though without the bathroom itself, just a shower. There is a kettle, water, bathrobes, slippers, shampoo, gel in the room. There are no complaints about the room, except, again, the heating from the air conditioner, which insanely dries the air. The cleaning was good, until there was a high load on the day off We put up a map asking us to get out, which no one paid attention to. At 2 p.m., we called the reception and asked them to clean up while we were in the sauna. They said they would come right away. But by 16:00, when I returned to the room, it was still not cleaned. The maids who cleaned the next room for the arrival of new guests said that the cleaning of the residential rooms was after lunch, as there was a big check-in and they did not have time. I absolutely understand the whole situation, as I work at the hotel myself. The problem is not with the maids, but with their shortage during the high workload period. A question for the management.... Nutrition: the breakfasts are not bad, but the choice is poor. Sausage, cheese, porridge, omelet, sausages, fruit. What I didn't like: the pastries are all oak. Croissants can be nailed, yoghurts stand without refrigeration and maybe even for several days, because they are all bloated.... I am surprised: Armenia is famous for its dairy products and pastries. Why can't you treat your guests to local fresh produce? One of the four days there were pancakes with cottage cheese, it didn't taste very good, but I was glad of that. Again, why can't you bake a mountain of pancakes in advance and offer them to your guests every day? We also had lunch in the lobby several times: in general, everything was delicious, but one day after the tuna salad I had to sit on the toilet (sorry) On the day of departure, we had a bit of a fight at the reception, as after checking out we were not allowed to go to the sauna, explaining this by the rules of the hotel. Which is strange to me. The spa was always empty. Why can't the guests go skiing and steam after discharge? What will be lost from you? I understand when everything is packed, there are a lot of guests, there are no empty seats, but there's just no one here. As a result, the manager of the accommodation department smoothed the situation by allowing us to go to the shower and sauna before leaving. Thanks a lot Overall, it's not bad. If you close your eyes to the shortcomings and just use the hotel as an overnight stay while skiing, then it's fine....

As a result, we checked into the room, and there was not even a bed made. I've attached a photo, you can look at this horror. This all speaks to the staff who do not want to do their job efficiently. In the evening, we decided to sit down next to the room to drink coffee with dessert, today we saw that the dishes were still on the table, no one had cleaned anything. There was a pigsty near the bar on the second floor, excuse the expression, there were no waiters, everything was scattered. This again speaks about the staff. The third is breakfast, we arrived at 10-20, there are simply no places, the room is tiny, there is nothing to breathe. As a result, I had to take food and go to the hall to have breakfast. I don't feel like a buffet at all, there's not much choice. This hotel is not worth its money and does not pull in 5 stars, it is 3 stars at most. If you want to have a good rest and enjoy the hotel, then do not choose eighty-eight.

Everyone near our door was making calls, rubbing up, yelling, walking, hanging out. We arrived at the spa. Relax on the mountaintop in silence, and here it is. My shock is in shock. The restaurant's guests were bothering us, and we were bothering the restaurant's guests by running around in panties, swimsuits, and bathrobes at the spa. Plus a bunch of drunk guests. Well, it's a wedding. You can't just go out for a smoke. They also stand under the windows and smoke, hang out, yell, run into cars, make noise. If we had known there was going to be a wedding, we would never have come to this hotel. 2. They asked us to change the number, they changed it for us. But with a downgrade. 3. But I traveled a lot to different countries and five-star hotels. The staff here does not work for five stars. Golden Palace is here. Plus, the little things add up to service and a sense of luxury. There were no office supplies in the first room. The second one has only notebooks for notes, no pen. The staff must work according to the checklist. As in the USSR, there is a list of items in the room. It says that there are 7 towels, in fact 5. It says that there are 4 towels, we were given 2. One spoon for two tea sets. He licked it and passed it to his neighbor. Well, what kind of goon???? 5. WiFi is not available. He doesn't pull from the word at all. 6. I am not a skier and not in the ski season. But there is no heated towel rail in the bathroom. As I understand it, small things like rashguard, thermal underwear should be dried in the room. It won't work. I don't know if there are lockers with drying. The good thing is the view, the large parking lot. All. The rooms have bathrobes and slippers. Five towels. We read the reviews and didn't take breakfast. 40 dollars for two - no way. I left 10-20 dollars in a Radisson in Abu Dhabi for a wonderful breakfast for two. We didn't go to a restaurant or go to a spa for a massage after the reviews. I love good service and services for my money. I didn't take any chances anymore.

We rented a suite with a bathroom, which is one of the most expensive rooms. Things are not bad in some places, but some things just raise a lot of questions. I'll start with the number: 1) the interior door was closing with great difficulty, the door handle was already very tired. Every time they put the child to bed, they went out into the living room with a creak and a bang - otherwise the door would not close 2) The bathroom door handle has the same problem. 3) On the first day, immediately after checking in, we went down to the restaurant to eat and pressed the buttons for 15 minutes for the waiter to come up, but he did not come up. I had to catch him because he pretended he didn't see us. And when I had already asked to take our order, he asked me to wait for the next waiter, who would be there in 10 minutes. I was outraged that we had already been waiting for 15 minutes and pressing the button, but no one came up. As a result, with grief in half, he accepted the order and accepted it incorrectly. Instead of mushroom soup, they brought chicken soup, and instead of shrimp, they brought chicken julienne. This order was also carried for 30 minutes, which is why the child screamed at all, I quickly ate with the child and went to the room. As a result, my husband forgot in the confusion that they were supposed to bring more potatoes, which never arrived, but he paid for it. 4) The spa area is tired, there is also a problem with the door handle in the hammam, but the hammam itself is very cool. And there would be a diode plus, but you need to keep in mind that masseuses sometimes perform procedures there. And one day I'm sitting in the hammam in the morning, a spa receptionist comes in and leaves without saying anything, but leaves the door open and leaves. I was puzzled, but I got up and closed the door. Then they come in again in silence and hang up a sign that already says about the procedure. They only offer to leave it in the wardrobe, but there are surveillance cameras there. We didn't lose any equipment, and thanks for that. And another plus is live music in the evenings. The pianist is super. Rooms: well, they are already tired, the biggest disadvantage is that there is no normal pressure in the shower (this is definitely not a hotel for those who like to wash, there is no hot water, as well as pressure, a slightly warm liquid flows out cleanly; the staff is lazy, boorish, does not do anything about it, solves the problem through the arrival of engineers who are stupid they hang out in your room and watch the water barely flow and say something). By the way, the rooms may not be cleaned during the day, that is, at 16:30-17 hours you will return, and there was still no horse lying around. The bed linen, as it usually is at 5*, is also not changed (we haven't had it changed in a week until we were asked). To any requests from the girls at the reception (except for one good one), their eyes roll back in such a way that you feel as if you are definitely superfluous here.… Food: the breakfasts are monotonous and meager. Juices from a bag, dried vegetables, unwashed fruits. Of what was normal, only scrambled eggs with bacon and cottage cheese, honey, nuts and jam. The rest is doubtful. Like overcooked pasta, cheese with the taste of a wet cloth, sliced sausages, pale mini croissants from the freezer... well, you know… Regarding the order at the restaurant, I don't know who praises what, Caesar mayonnaise, they don't even cook a normal sauce here (or they don't buy it), and the highlight of the program was khachapuri, which clearly tasted like mold inside, just an old product warmed up. But no, the waiter with a serious face said that it was khachapuri with cottage cheese and attention with ROQUEFORT. There's nothing on the menu that says anything about Roquefort, and it doesn't taste like that at all. In short, it's a complete mess Pool and spa: the water in the pool is really cold, you just won't get warm. The hammam smells like a wet cloth. And the sauna can generally be turned off and cold. Saunas are divided into men's and women's saunas. Each room can accommodate a maximum of 4-5 people. You'll feel like you're in a rocket on a playground. So as they say, "bi ready" It's also freezing as hell everywhere, but the breakfast room is consistently stuffy. Cons - Breakfasts at the 4-star hotel level are maximum. The ideal place for a corporate event is a huge equipped hall for 200 people. But the kitchen leaves much to be desired. Please note that smoking is allowed in all bars.
