At the same time, there were 2 tables in the whole establishment, in addition to ours. The waiters were cleaning and preparing other tables, spreading a path at the entrance, talking among themselves, but they did not come up to us. Our menus were closed on the table, we were sitting at the table leaning back in our chairs, periodically turning towards the waiters and trying to meet their eyes, but there was no result. After we got up and left together, the hall staff looked at us with smiles, but no one bothered to clarify what was the reason for our departure. At the exit, the hostess, without looking up from the phone, after our 30-minute unsuccessful stay in the institution, only briefly asked us "what happened", without even trying to get up from her seat and find out the real reason for the departure of 4 guests. We were not asked for the phone number from which the table was booked, nor the hotel room numbers, nor any other information. They just showed complete indifference, first to our appearance, and then to our departure. Apparently, the management of the restaurant is either not interested in guests, or is unable to recruit competent employees. The manager is clearly unable to explain the priorities of the service to the staff. Moreover, in the cafe on the ground floor of the same hotel, such questions did not even come close. The place is advertised as a place where aged steaks are served, but we never managed to try them. At the same time, if you put prices at the level of, to put it mildly, not the cheapest establishments, at least in Moscow, then it would be nice to match them not only in terms of the cost of dishes, but also in terms of the quality of service. In an institution with similar rates, employees simply have to understand when to take an order, and when to prepare the hall and communicate with each other, and also know that they are supposed to take an order from those who have already come to you, and then prepare for the reception of those who have not yet arrived. We have not encountered such an attitude in any simpler restaurant within walking distance from the Minsk gallery.
