On the corner of the former Samarkand Avenue there is an impressive Stalinka, now occupied by the labor exchange. As I understand it, this is the former DC of the Hydrolysis Plant - one of the first enterprises of the Soviet Ferghana, which then turned into an industrial giant. The Hydrolysis plant itself was located away from the center, but the Hydrolysis town adjoined it closely
