The desire to write and publish a book arose quite a long time ago.
I doubted for a long time and was indecisive in choosing a publishing house, because it is not very easy to do this in our city. Until, finally, the gaze stopped at the publishing house "Segment".
It turned out to be easier to work with the publishing house than I expected, although the publishing house is located in Minsk. Each stage is coordinated, changes are made, and the optimal decision is made. The logistics between the publisher and the author is clearly built from the signal copy to the circulation.
I would like to note the high professionalism of the publishing house staff, goodwill in communication, responsiveness, and interest in the best final result.

About two years ago, I found out via Facebook that there is a publishing house that publishes family books. I had an appointment, and I met the amazing Yana Stomma, open, welcoming, literate.
I realized that it was necessary, expensive, in every sense. And I decided: I will prepare, record the memories of the older generation, collect photos, save money. Which I did. Later, a contract was signed. This was attended by Yana Stomma and Anastasia Grischuk, who eventually became the main editor of our family book. I met Elena Lagunova, a wonderful journalist from Gomel, in absentia...
the mystery of the birth of the future book began. Thanks to her... She started translating audio recordings into real text. For me, everything went through agony. My relatives did not support me, but the main thing is that the eldest son promised to pay for joint opuses. Which I did.
A million torments and doubts did not leave me: does anyone need, if necessary, then who? and how to explain everything so as not to forget anyone and not offend with a random phrase. My "curator" changed, Valentina Shapovalova, a sweet beauty, began to cooperate with me, the work was going on, but the book did not stick... I've already thought about maybe giving up everything, postponing, rescheduling. But suddenly it occurred to me: not now, then never.
Anastasia provided invaluable help to me, who came to my cottage and home, even our cat fell in love with her. Thank you, Anastasia, for your patience, understanding, and professionalism. I am also grateful to designer Olga Pronkevich, the choice of color, the general design concept are very important things, and everything was done thoughtfully and sincerely, soulfully. That's how it should be. It is a very delicate matter to create such books. Subtle and important. Now, when I hold a book in my hands (there is always a lump in my throat), I can admire its cover, content, print quality, all the time I mentally thank the brave, deep person who conceived and embodied this wonderful opportunity to create a book of Sorts. Many, many people, leafing through the book, say: I want one, someone says, I will do one. I warn everyone that this is a huge work of the soul, but there are good fairies from the publishing house "Book of the Genus": they will help, understand, prompt. And here's another thing: you can only start making such a book, it's impossible to finish it. I'm already thinking about what I would add, change, add. I don't know yet how this will turn into reality. But there is a desire. Thanks to the publishing team, just well done, who clearly know their business, to everyone (both the chief accountant and the couriers), thank you very much, let your idea of a Generic Book develop, it makes people closer to each other and to themselves.

I have always wanted to learn more about my ancestors, to preserve their interesting and very touching stories about the Lukyanenko family for my children and grandchildren. Unfortunately, not many documents have been preserved. The information was provided by my mother's cousin's sister, my mother, these are war children. Unfortunately, the editors did not provide archival documents, only the memories of our mothers and a modern version of our life stories. I am very grateful to Anastasia Grischuk

For several years, we were going to record our dad's memories of his military childhood, youth, and the history of our family. He talked a lot about the events of his life, but I wanted to capture them somehow so that I could share them with relatives and friends, so that the memory of the past of our native people would remain. But we had absolutely no idea where to start. In 2022, I found information on the Internet about the Segment publishing house, which has a department for working with family books, and realized that I had come to the right place. We immediately contacted the publishing house, and our idea began to come to life. Sensitive, intelligent, caring people work here who help preserve the priceless memories of eyewitnesses of their time and pass them on to posterity. At all stages of this complex process, we have met with interest, understanding, human involvement, and creativity. Our family book was printed on time, it turned out to be very beautiful, interesting and became a wonderful gift to people dear to us. Now Dad is writing new chapters, and I hope that the next volume of our family saga is not far off. Now we know where to turn. I sincerely thank the staff of the family book department of the Segment publishing house and recommend it to my friends with great pleasure.

I would like to express my gratitude to the team of the publishing house "Book of the Genus" for creating my family book "Origins". I had no idea at all how the process of writing it would go. I thought that I would give the very little information that I have. This will be imprinted on a certain number of leaves. Well, maybe you'll add letters from mom, dad, and grandpa there. That's all. But the result exceeded all my expectations.
I was especially surprised by the detailed analysis of the materials that I provided during the work. And the fact that archived data is included here. I wouldn't go to the archive myself. I didn't even think about it, and I didn't know which way to approach the issue of performing an archive search. But you have worked in this direction, picked up archival materials and included them in the book.
When I saw the finished book, I cried.

A few years ago, we persuaded Dad to record memories of his life and work. He agreed, and began to write down his memories consistently, starting from childhood. At that time, no one thought about whether it would be framed in the form of a book, the main thing was to preserve the stories that we heard in his stories. Unfortunately, Dad did not have time to finish what he started, but we decided to publish the manuscript in book form. While we were thinking where to turn, the decision came by itself, in the form of an advertisement for the Publishing House "Segment", which we saw on Instagram. We came to Minsk to get acquainted, conclude an agreement and resolve initial issues, then, during the preparation of the book, there were two more meetings with the publishing editor Anastasia
Myadelko. It took about five months from the conclusion of the contract to the receipt of the printed edition, as agreed at the very beginning. Only the most positive impressions remained from working with the staff of the publishing house. All our wishes were realized, all the questions and doubts that arose were discussed in detail
and they were solved promptly. The prepared layout of the book and the signal copy passed with a bang. The quality of the Publishing House's work is such that even a year and a half after its completion, the thought never arose that we had done something wrong (we chose the wrong format, the wrong paper, the wrong font, the wrong photos...).
