The bus station is large, and there are many bus companies in different directions. We had to leave for Istanbul. They asked for tickets beforehand and said that they could be purchased on the day of departure. Perhaps we didn't understand each other in English and there were no tickets, which is obvious, tickets for intercity destinations should always be purchased 3-5 days in advance.
