The Flustret Restaurant ("Beehive") is a restaurant and a nightclub with a dance floor. An expensive place of worship. An outdoor terrace is available in summer. This is one of the oldest restaurants in the city, founded in 1842. For many years, the restaurant served as a favorite entertainment spot for Uppsala University students, and is mentioned in student folklore. In 1872, the building acquired a modern appearance. In 1984, the restaurant burned down, but was recreated in the same architecture. In the Ingmar Bergman film "Good Intentions," Frida, the main character's beloved waitress, worked here. In front of the restaurant there is a fountain with putti, made in Germany in the 1880s. The Swan Pond and the City Garden are adjacent to the restaurant. (The pond was created for fish farming under King Eric XIV, in the middle of the XVI century. Nowadays, there are no swans left in the pond, only ducks.)
