I've always liked the fountain at Avlabari metro station. He is not at Mimino itself, as many people think, but a little further away — right at the exit of the subway. Last year, he was working, and it immediately enlivened the entire square. In the evening, the jets were illuminated, and the water played in the light. People were sitting around, children were running, someone was drinking coffee, someone was just waiting for friends. The place seems to be simple, without any special beauties, but with character. The water is cool, and it feels calm in the midst of the noise of the city. There are old houses nearby, and a monument a little further away — all together they create the very comfort of Tbilisi, when nothing special happens and you don't want to leave.
