An excellent place for tourists—I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is quite extensive. I tried the Murmansk halibut steak with tomatoes and grilled vegetables, and I would definitely give it a high rating. I guess the Frigate Place is located in the heart of the tourist area, and the prices here are above average. It was very busy that evening, so my order took a little longer than expected. However, the staff is very friendly and will help you with your choice. I liked the interior, which perfectly reflects the coastal character of a restaurant on Lake Onega. The calm weather and the warm summer evening enhanced the vibrant atmosphere!

We stayed in Frigate hotel and started our dinner on the terrace and after moved inside the restaurant . I ordered halibut steak with potato, because I like it and use to eat a lot of this kind of fish. The fish was like rubber!!! I had to turn it back but waiter delivered the chefs words that the fish is OK and it should be so. May be they defrost it under hot water or used a very high temperature but it was really bad. I know it as I can compare! I asked another white fish and reheat the potato. But the waiter forgot the potato and did not turn it back. After he told me that he did not hear me well and thought that I don’t need potato. This restaurant has a very high rating but in fact the quality of cooking and service is very low.
