An authentic small three-storey hotel in Bayazit district. We stayed in the Same suite, designed for 4 people - three beds (1 double and 2 single). The room has a refrigerator, kettle, cups, glasses, bath towels and hand towels. Sofa, armchair. (we didn't have enough tables in the room. It feels like it has three seats, and a sofa was added, but the table was removed). But we're perfectly positioned. A huge plus of the hotel is the upper terrace overlooking the Bosphorus. It's beautiful there in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Standard breakfasts for Turkey are eggs, fried eggs, sausages, olives, peppers, cheeses, sausages, pastries, juices. Coffee is only instant. The dining room is located in the basement of the building - beautiful brick vaults and authentic decoration. The staff is friendly. The guys at the reception don't speak Russian well, but they try very hard. We are always ready to help. The woman who cleans and helps in the kitchen speaks Russian well
The Grand Bazaar and the tram stop are 6 minutes uphill in a straight line. The Bosphorus embankment is 5 minutes down. There are shoe shops around
Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are 25 minutes away on foot.

The hotel is old, the rooms are accessed by a spiral staircase, the breakfasts are modest, the location is not bad, among the advantages there is a terrace with tables and grapes on the roof. In short, a hotel for a budget holiday, you have to keep in mind.

I had a rest at Gedik Pasha in May 2023. He is from Russia. I'll give you five points, but you have to be prepared for the specifics of the hotel itself and the street. On the street is the working quarter of Istanbul. This means that from dawn until 10 p.m. there will be a hubbub, fuss, motorcycles rushing back and forth and crowds of people. The slide here has a noticeable slope, but there are many cafes and one Burger King, there is one hookah bar, and from above the road stops at the tram stop with the Grand Bazaar. Sights like Sofia are accessible on foot, 20 minutes walk. The hotel itself seemed cozy to me (although it is not all-inclusive), the kitchen is delicious, but without hot meat. There is no elevator here. Upstairs there is a terrace overlooking the Marmara Sea. You can drink tea, coffee and smoke on it. The guests here are very different. Personally, I have seen Germans, Africans, Arabs. The layout of the hotel helps to ensure that guests do not overlap with each other. I had no ethnic conflicts with anyone in Istanbul. The hotel staff does not speak Russian, only English with a characteristic accent at a basic level. On weekdays, an Armenian woman who speaks Russian fluently works here. As for me, "Gedik Pasha" is a good way to be in the center of events.

A clean room. Friendly owners.
But! It is located on streets with a VERY STEEP descent and inside there is a spiral staircase, which is quite inconvenient when you are with suitcases!
Nice hotel, clean, everyone is polite
The room is large, everything is cleaned very clearly)

I booked this hotel on Booking, the photos were good, upon check-in we were immediately asked to pay for the rooms, of course we paid (payment was by card), when we came to the rooms, we were just horrified, everything was dirty, mold on the ceiling, hair on the bed, the curtain was torn off, the photos of the rooms did not correspond to the actual one at all. They asked for a refund, as it is not possible to live there, but they refused us, saying call the police. We accordingly called the tourist police, they arrived, but did not help in any way. The hotel has not returned the money to us (25,000). If you want to spoil your vacation, of course stay at this hotel. I work in the hotel business myself and go to many places, this is the first time I have encountered such fraud. The consulate did not help us either, saying that these are our problems 🤷🏻♀️

Unfortunately, according to Yandex's policy, there is at least one star, although this place does not deserve it. Disgusting rooms and location!!! Unfortunately, we were led to the photos when we entered the room and were extremely, unrealistically disappointed!!! I do not recommend it to anyone!!! Very dirty! Everything is very old, there is hair everywhere, it is clear that they do not clean it at all

Good location, close to all the sights of the old town. Good buffet breakfasts. The rooms are equipped with everything you need: tea set, kettle, refrigerator, hair dryer, plasma TV, good wi-fi. There are places near the hotel where you can have a cheap and satisfying meal. Of the disadvantages, only a steep climb to the hotel and from it to the main street

Convenient location. Polite staff. Reasonable price. The rooms are old but clean. Nothing superfluous.
Of the advantages, I want to note the presence of a battery in the room - I went in February, there was sleet and rain outside - it is very convenient to dry clothes and shoes.
I had a view of the courtyard, that is, almost like a wall. Although there is no elevator, do not take a room on the ground floor, the sounds and smells from the kitchen are very audible! There is a Russian-speaking staff at the hotel, but they do not work every day, be prepared for this! Room cleaning every other day. The breakfast is modest, but delicious. It's worth its three stars and money.

One of the most decent hotels, in terms of price-quality ratio. Importantly, it is very conveniently located close to the metro and the main attractions of Istanbul, all within walking distance. There are slippers in the room and breakfast is included. Not bad at all.

A fairly good hotel located in the city center, this is its main advantage.
