Georgy Tkabladze, in 1984, got a job as a caretaker of the Kumistavi cave (Prometheus). He guarded the cave entrance for 26 years, of which 11 years he worked for free. In 2010, George left his service. In 2017, the Agency for Protected Areas awarded 85-year-old Tkabladze with the Order of Merit, a certificate of merit and a monetary award. There is a monument to George with a dog at the entrance to the cave.
