This monastery has become one of my favorite places when I come to Armenia, and after visiting these parts, I do not miss the opportunity to visit it, a very quiet and beautiful place, where you can be yourself alone and with God.

A beautiful and quiet place. 10 km from the highway on a broken road - it's hard to get there without an SUV.

An Armenian monastery of the 10th century in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, along the Vayk-Jermuk road, in the canyon of the Arpa River. Gndevank Monastery, built in 936, is one of the oldest monasteries preserved in Armenia. The temple, surrounded by a fortress wall, was built on the initiative of Princess Sophia and was considered one of the cultural centers of Armenia in the medieval ages
