Overall it’s ok to stay here, but there is always a room for improvement. Specifically, they need to renovate the ventilation system in the bath and replace the old towels.

A good hotel, with its 3 stars. In general, everything is fine, the room is clean, cleaned every day. The room also has a standard set: shampoo, shower gel, soap, tooth.a brush and paste, slippers and even a rag for shoes.
Breakfast is included in the price, and by the way, it is also generally good.
The only negative (for me) is poor noise insulation. On the first day, the neighbors were active, and they could be heard, but then, apparently, the neighbors changed, it was quiet.
In general, a good, clean hotel, the staff is friendly and responsive (they respond promptly to all requests).

Probably, this is 4 stars for Almaty, but in a good way it barely pulls even 2... It seems like the room is not bad, but not too clean, somehow everything is substandard. There are no words about the toilet at all... Exit from the crumbling, leaking shower stall directly onto the toilet. All finishing materials are not commercial, but home-made, and not of the highest quality... One thing will fall off, then the other. Shower supplies, toothbrushes and toothpaste are the cheapest, Chinese. Breakfast didn't work either. Even though we were there for 8 days, we never ate. Again, it does not look like a normal buffet, although it is clear that they tried. The location is normal. In principle, it is close to all areas, but the environment is so-so. The service is polite, they try to help, everything is clear.
But the phone in the room is unclear why it does not work. I couldn't make a phone call in the city or at the reception.

To be honest, the hotel needs to be rated four out of five. There are a number of disadvantages that they need to work on. The hotel is about 12 or 13 years old, there was one renovation. Among the disadvantages are: slightly tired rooms, weak water pressure in the showers, a very meager breakfast buffet. Of the advantages: a good location, according to the hoteliers themselves, mostly business travelers and people who came on business stay, so there are few drunks in the hotel, few visitors who make noise. The hotel itself is more of this family type. There are pleasant little things in the form of individual sets of shampoos, dental kits, slippers. The bed linen and towels are not super new, but clean. Cleaning every day. The staff is a separate plus, well done. If you need a luxury hotel, this is not the place, but according to the price-quality system everything is fine.

A three-star hotel. The breakfasts are tasteless, there is no normal coffee. For more or less decent coffee, we ran across the street to a fast food restaurant before breakfast and took it to take away. The service at the hotel is very unobtrusive.
I asked for white thread with a needle at the reception desk (there is no such mini-set in the room), thereby creating an unsolvable problem for them. But after half an hour, the threads were found. It was the same with the flower vase. Why are there no vases on duty at the hotel?!
There was a burnt cloth on the iron in the ironing room. The receptionist didn't really want to call the maid, instead he strongly suggested that I order a paid ironing service.
In general, there is something for the hotel management to work on: it is necessary to train the staff in hospitality, and think over the menu in the cafe, and much more.

it is quiet in the rooms and outside the window, air conditioning is working in the corridors, Wi-Fi is stable, electronic locks warn of loosely closed doors.

Гостиница голден палас по виду хорошое. Расположен в удобном месте города. Номера и сан узлы чистые. Сотрудники гостиницы очень вежлевые. Спасибо им.
На завтрак можете выбрать разные блюды. Но в завтраке не найдёте мясо. Блюда пригитовлены из сосисек место мясо. Как время будет 09.00 то сразу в течении 5 минут вся еда убирается с стола и сразу выключают свет. Как будто вышло время и просят вас молча уйти с зала. Думаю что это немножко не уважительно. Туристы приходят отдыхать в Казахстан и хотят оставить самые лучшие и прятное в себе.
Я не мог найти ответ но одну ситуацию. Каждый день утром заходят двое полицейские в форме. Завтракают в плотную. Администрация гостиницы их пропускают без вопросов. Думаю что это ежедневный дань допускаемый полицеским.

The choice fell on this hotel because it was a convenient location, there were empty seats and it seemed like a normal hotel. The price is clearly too high for such quality. Dirty linen (with hair on the sheet and towels), a torn bedspread, a dirty refrigerator with chocolates forgotten by previous residents, weak Wi-Fi, there is not even a sign asking not to enter, we were told that there are no free signs)) funny. I do not know how thoroughly the san.node is processed, but a shower with rust and broken tiles does not look very presentable.
Nothing is reported for breakfast if the food is over.
A room in this hotel is clearly not worth the money. I do not recommend it

A pleasant hotel. Slightly outdated renovation, but everything works, clean, the rooms are spacious. The furniture is suitable for the dead, but it does not fall apart and is not scary. Linen, towels, hygiene kit - everything is there. Service without complaints, cleaned every day. The breakfast is full, without variety, of course. The staff is polite and friendly. In general, it seemed decent for its price. Checking in for the work week is the best thing.

Настоящие 4 звезды! Был готов к худшему, но… Гостиница оказалась супер!
На выбор дали 2 номера. Перед заселением можно сходить и выбрать тот, который больше понравится - 🔥. В номере идеально чисто.
Обычно в гостиницах начинает пугать ванная, но тут, на удивление, тоже идеально чисто.
Ежедневно меняли зубные наборы и гель для душа, также ежедневно меняли полотенца. В номере по умолчанию 2 комплекта полотенец, гелей для душа, мыла и, даже одноразовых тапок!
В номере есть минибар. Вода бесплатно, остальное по прайсу, прайс на столе.
Завтраки отличные. Шведский стол, там салат, тушеные овощи (баклажаны, перцы, кабачки, помидоры), колбасная и сырная нарезка, несколько видов булочек, блины с творогом, просто блины (можно брать с джемом), яичница, каша, и арбуз (был каждый день). Из жидкостей - чай, кофе и компот. Все действительно очень вкусно.
С оплатой вопросов не возникало. Как только заехал - не было денег (ещё не обменял), оплатил на следующий день.
Персоналу огромное Спасибо за гостеприимство:)

By Russian standards, this institution pulls no more than 2 stars. I had a chance to visit a standard room and a suite. I didn't feel much difference, except for the size of the room. I was surprised that a deposit was required at the reception before the payment was made. In a room without frills, a bathrobe is not provided even in the suite. The breakfasts are mediocre. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms, as standard, but when entering the hotel there is not even an urn with an ashtray. There are many more minor flaws. For the money that a room costs per night, it's not the best option.

Обычная гостиница, в номерах все просто, но и ожидать чего-то изысканного за 50$ за ночь не стоит. Из плюсов хочется отметить удобную широкую кровать и хорошим матрасом. И еще мне понравилось, что есть ложечка для обуви. Почему-то не все отели, даже дороже этого, предлагают для гостей такой нужный предмет. Еда на завтрак простая, как в столовой. Персонал вежливый и внимательный.

Удобное расположение, рядом несколько кафе и магазинов, недалеко от некоторых достопремичательностей. Персонал не навящевый, питание среднее. Номера средние, отель не новый, жить можно.

Not a bad hotel, 3⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Kazakhstan.
We were comfortable with the location. From the outside it looks more pompous than the internal "kitchen". The room was given first on the 2nd floor, everything was very bad: the shower is leaking, up to the corridor, did not work well, then boiling water, then cold; on the bed there is a mattress with ribs and springs - like from the 90s. One towel, for two, I had to ask for extra. And there was no hair dryer, none at all. When I asked for a hairdryer, they moved us and gave us a room on the 4th floor, there was a modern mattress, a shower, and a hairdryer.
But I personally lacked the usual items in 3⭐️⭐️⭐️
1) cotton swabs, discs.
2) an ordinary electric kettle, this is not much, considering that in Kazakhstan they drink a lot of tea!
Service: people are not in a hurry at the reception. And not friendly.
In the kitchen: it was a pity for one woman, because she herself collected and washed dishes with her hands in an age when a dishwasher washes faster and spends water more economically.
Food: it's varied +, but the time for breakfast is from 7:00-9:00!!!! And when you come at 8:30, the variety of food ends, and is not replenished - this is a minus.
Cleanliness: at a good level.
There are pitfalls, or price opacity: for example 1) I wanted coffee beans, and it's paid! 2) water in the room is also paid. Maybe the guys on the ground decided so, because I read the previous reviews, and people wrote that the water in the room is free, but we have a price tag. In Europe, this hotel would be considered 2 ⭐️⭐️, and in India 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, therefore, it depends on what to compare it with.
And I understood that the attitude towards visitors directly depends on his passport, they treat foreigners a little better, and their own a little worse. I felt it for myself, I am a citizen of Kazakhstan, but I live in Europe, my husband is a foreigner. They registered the number on me to make it easier to pay everywhere, and it's not very nice when we were given everything bad at first, and then normal. This is a minus. And it pulls on 1⭐️ because, in fact, a good building can be built, but who will manage it and how, how much depends on it.
