Not far from the Ritsa there is an amazing place - the Blue Lake. The most beautiful place. The lake is surrounded by rocks. With an area of 180 square meters, the largest depth is 76 meters, so it is quite deep. The amazing blue color of the water, for some reason is still unknown even to scientists, there are many versions. The water is very cold, they say that even in very hot weather it does not warm up above 9 degrees. But it doesn't freeze in winter either. The surface of the water is very calm, although there are many undercurrents and a waterfall flows into the lake itself. Nothing and no one alive lives or grows in the lake. The water is not only cold, but also very clean and transparent, although sometimes it seems cloudy, this is an illusion due to the refraction of sunlight and depth. Of course, like all popular tourist destinations, the locals here trade in abundant souvenirs, wine (I do not advise), and offer to take pictures with pheasants. Prices are naturally overpriced. So it's better not to go near this mini market. But I advise you to visit the lake itself, it is stunningly beautiful.

It's true that it's blue, but here's a lake where it's unlikely that a water source flows into a small pool in which there are certain substances that color the water in this lake, then flows into a full-size river. Trade and various services in this place are three times the size of the lake itself.🤣 Don't go there during the season! Photographers with different poor little animals are attacking. The best time is November.

We were with my husband in September 2024.
It was his first time, he liked it, nature left a special, warm, fascinating impression for him. I agree!
When I visited the Ritsyn route for the first time in 2019, I was also stunned by such beauty.
Unfortunately, I can't say this right now, there are merchants at every turn who have ruined all the beauty and mystery of this place.
The lake is no longer blue, but green.
