1. Wide and Clean Beach – The sand is soft, the water clear, and the area feels more open compared to Batumi city beaches. 2. Relaxed Atmosphere – Fewer crowds, more space to walk, swim, or just sit quietly. It feels peaceful and natural. 3. Local Cafes and Stalls – Small places nearby serve snacks, coffee, and cold drinks. Nothing fancy, but good enough for a beach day. 4. Family-Friendly – Safe for kids, with gentle waves and plenty of room to play. 5. Easy Access – Quick ride from Batumi, and parking is usually available close to the beach. 6. Best Time to Visit – Morning or late afternoon when the sun is softer and the beach is calm. 7. Overall Feeling – Gonio Beach is about simplicity: fresh air, clean water, and quiet time away from the city noise. 1. Пляж широкий и чистый. 2. Атмосфера спокойная, людей меньше. 3. Есть кафе и киоски рядом. 4. Подходит для семей и детей. 5. Легко добраться из Батуми.

The beach itself is very clean and beautiful, but unfortunately it was not possible to watch the sunset with pleasure. My boyfriend and I rented 2 sun beds for 10 lari from a man who was standing under a canopy (photo attached). He helped us get sun beds and put them near the shore and, by the way, the tent itself. Having settled down and just had time to swim, a family of Georgians approached us, who, as it turned out during a heated conversation, own these sun beds and rent them out. They announced that we had to pay again, as they had not received the money, and that this was our problem, that both they and we had been deceived. They didn't want to take our side, and they were also sympathetic, although their tent doesn't say who the owner is, and there's no name/photo. How were we supposed to know that this was their property and that some leftist was charging us money for something that didn't belong to him? Moreover, this family itself (neither wife nor husband) was not near this tent for the entire time that we were there, that is, for about 20 minutes. In the conversation, they mentioned that they had gone to a restaurant. BUT it's the same as leaving a store open and unattended, and then complaining that your product was stolen/distributed to everyone on the street! In principle, they wanted to kick us out, throw us off the sun beds, although it was still only about 19:30 and the sunset was in full swing. Until the sun beds were paid for (thanks for the support of the guys from Lugansk!), the owners did not lag behind us. Although, in fact, we were deceived in the same way as the owners themselves, because they did not keep track of their property. We left the beach earlier than we wanted to, the mood was spoiled. Please be vigilant, you need to somehow make sure that you are paying the right person. I hope that this will not happen again on this beach, although I personally do not intend to check it.

Nice and clean beach. Large pebbles. Perfectly clear water. Beautiful view of the mountains from the beach. Near the beach there are cafes where you can eat, and shops where you can buy all sorts of small things, souvenirs, water, etc. From Batumi you can easily get by minibus or bus that go towards Sarpi. But if you return from the beach in Batumi around 17-18 pm, you are likely to get stuck in traffic.
