The Museum of the History of Religion, located on Zamkova Street in the very center of Grodno, is really a historical place. It is located in an 18th-century palace building. In its halls there are historical artifacts of religion and culture of the peoples who lived on the Belarusian lands. The Museum of the History of Religion also hosts a variety of thematic exhibitions, excursions and concerts.
It is always a pleasure to visit the museum.

An amazing museum. It is informative, with a large number of exhibits. The exhibition tells about various religions in Belarus. There are not many visitors. Museums with a similar theme are very rare.

Very good expositions. One disadvantage, with almost completely Russian-speaking visitors, is the inscriptions on the plates with the exhibits in Belarusian, English and even Chinese (hieroglyphs, maybe Japanese) languages. Not in Russian.

A magnificent museum, interesting content of expositions. It is better to visit with a guide. The guide took us through the history of the peoples inhabiting the lands of modern Belarus, with a twinkle, vividly and very fascinatingly. The husband said he could never have imagined that the history of religions could be so fascinating.

18 halls of exhibits and signatures. The girl is a tour guide, only voicing the signatures. He can't answer the questions, but he allows you to run through the museum faster. Sorry for the money spent on the tour. There are many cabinets and exhibits, but there is no connected history of the development of religion in Belarus.

A very good museum, be sure to take a guided tour, very interesting. Even teenagers listened to us. The history of religions in Grodno will not leave anyone indifferent.
We learned a lot of new things.
The disadvantage is that the tour must be booked in advance. This feature of the Belarusian service constantly shocked me. You can't come right away and buy an excursion on the spot. Why, an unanswered question

I expected more. They talked clearly and a lot about Orthodoxy. About other religions minimally and casually. Even paganism (from which the faith of people began, and which lasted longer than other religions in time) was given at most 2 minutes. Disappointed. If that was the plan, it should have been called the Museum of Orthodoxy.

I liked the museum, the exposition is wide, there are many antiques in wood and silver. I visited a lot of ancient icons with pleasure. But prices are biting again, which, unfortunately, is found everywhere in Belarus.

One of the best museums in Belarus, if not the best! We ordered an excursion, very informative and large-scale. Without a guide, it is pointless to go to the museum. To understand and study the history of religions and confessions on the territory of Belarus from early times - it is impossible to imagine better!👍

Good afternoon, hello!!! In Grodno, the "Museum of Religions" is the most complete in terms of content, I have gone on almost all excursions over the past 2 years and I think that it is the team of guides who create a special chic, who tell and show with a soul...you know, there was even an excursion dedicated to the ghetto in Grodno, so impressed that many of us sincerely cried at the end!!!). And the seven-hour tour "Romance of hidden Places" was generally unforgettable for me and my companion, it's just👍👍👍👏👏👏💪💪💪🔥💯💯💯. I can tell you about each one, but it's better that you visit and check it out yourself!!!

The exposition is not bad, we can recommend it to anyone who is interested in this topic. But, unfortunately, there is nothing on the subject of Old Believers - and after all, Belarus (both as part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and as part of the Russian Empire) was one of the centers of Old Believers. I would also like to note that the premises in the former gentry manor, in which the museum is located, are small in area. Therefore, if you want to carefully and thoughtfully examine the exhibits, and not run through the halls "for show" - choose a non-peak time. Otherwise, you will be jostled in the crowds of forcibly driven schoolchildren and no less forcibly driven weekend tourists from all over the country.

We visited the museum on August 25. An interesting museum, especially the second part, concerning religions and their confession on the territory of Belarus. We took an audio guide - the text for the guide is interesting. However, we faced the same thing that another visitor described in a review on August 2.
The caretakers on the 2nd floor are talking, listening to music, despite the fact that they moved through the halls behind us, it incredibly interfered with listening to a quiet audio guide.
In the end, it just became impossible to concentrate and we left.

There are many halls , interesting expositions , and a lot of information . There are very interesting ancient icons. It is fashionable not to take an audio guide, because all the information that the guide contains is written near the exhibits. I didn't like that the supervisors on the 2nd floor were talking to each other , then one of them was on the phone, then she turned on the news and watched it out loud. It interfered with the viewing . It 's usually quiet in museums , but I didn't expect to see such unprofessional behavior.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the museum because the staff at the entrance answered the question "what is in the program today?"(because there are thematic events in the museum) I answered extremely unpleasantly and rudely, we also wanted to find out what the museum is in response to rolling our eyes and asking if we have seen the name of the museum. This was followed by the same unfriendly and indifferent attitude, which discouraged the desire to visit this museum. We left.

I wasn't interested at all. The information is not provided in any way - it is written on nondescript signs and 80% only in Belarusian without dubbing in English / Russian. You can also read in Belarusian, but too much time will be spent on this, and I would like a more easy-to-understand and interactive presentation (like in the old castle, for example - it's great there). Because of this, I just ran through the halls for 10 minutes and left. There is an audio guide, but it mostly matches what is written on the plates word for word. There were no excursions that day (sun). Everything is stupid.

The experience of the visit is twofold because of the staff: it started with a very self-confident woman at the checkout, and continued with super friendly female caretakers. It was very pleasant to walk, the girls unobtrusively guided and smiled. I really liked the exhibition dedicated to the East.

Very informative. But I note that half of the exposition has nothing to do with religion and, accordingly, the name of the museum. The same part that reflects the history of religion, in my opinion, is grouped in a strange way. For example, the hall of Orthodoxy, the hall of Catholicism, then again the hall of Orthodoxy, etc. perhaps different epochs or currents are represented. But it seems to me that it would be more logical to "exhaust" one thing, then move on. But this, in my opinion. In general, it's interesting, but I wouldn't come a second time.
