As a citizen who wants to reach Hasanboğuldi Nature Park, located on the borders of Edremit district of Balıkesir province, by following the route shown in the Google Maps application, I have experienced a serious victimization. The application directs to a route that gives the impression that the park entrance can be reached, but when the destination is reached, it becomes clear that it is not possible to enter by car. This causes damage to the visitors both in terms of time and fuel, and also forces them to make a 15-kilometer return and detour due to the lack of orientation in the area. In order to solve this problem: By cooperating with Google Maps, the correct route information (for example: access can be made via Zeytinli Village) should be updated, and the incorrect orientation should be removed from the map. Physically, warning signs and direction signs should be placed in the area, and the road situation that contradicts the route on Google should be clearly indicated. In addition, the existing infrastructure and operating layout of the park also have serious problems: Entrance fees are 180 TL for vehicle entrance, 60 TL for pedestrian entrance, and picnic and recreation areas are insufficient in response to these fees. On the day I visited, although it was a weekday, about 300 families (1200 people) were taken in, and despite this, it was observed that there were only 7 picnic tables. This disproportion indicates that even the basic comfort of the people is not valued. Toilets are extremely inadequate in terms of hygiene. Urinals are overflowing, bad smell is spreading, basic necessities such as soap, paper towels and sanitary pads are not provided. The taps are defective and work manually; there is no photocell system. Some stalls in the park accept only cash, no bills or receipts are given, which creates the possibility of serious tax evasion. The license and registration status of these sales must be checked. Since there are no facilities such as air conditioning and cooling area inside in summer, there is a risk especially for the elderly and children at temperatures above 40°C. An estimated 600-700 vehicles are allowed in on weekends. This data can be easily checked from the tickets that have been issued.
