One of the oldest mosques in Samarkand. The first mentions date back to the beginning of the 8th century! The mosque stands on a hill, on the outskirts of the Shahizinda cemetery, it can be seen from afar. The mausoleum of the first President of Uzbekistan, I. Karimov, is located on its territory.
