One of the best places I ever visited... Fresh, kind, light vibrations... It was perfect - ocean, food, rooms with a big terrassa, view from the room, smiling kind hotel staff, territory - all is clean, fresh, amazing. I will come back with my friends for sure... it's an oasis in Hikkaduwa... A special gratitude I would like to refer to a Guest Service Manager Yvonne Fernando, she did her best to solve our questions and provide a high-level service to the guests. She is a meritorious member of the Hotel management... Only sweet memories.... also - Reception service was polite and fully guest oriented - Ms Kavindi and another man, I forgot to ask his name.. all are professionals...Thank you, thank you!!!

We stayed at this hotel in January 2024. We spent a long time choosing between several options, stopped there and did not regret it. We arrived ahead of check-in time, and we were quickly checked into a room. The hotel staff is very pleasant and friendly. The rooms are quite spacious and clean, with a balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. The view from the balcony is a delight! The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is WiFi throughout the hotel. The hotel has a spa area, a restaurant, and a snack bar. Only breakfast was included, the choice is quite varied. There was also a nice bonus in the form of a lunch box - provided for early check-out from the hotel (instead of breakfast) or in case of early departure for an excursion. There are 2 swimming pools on site - for adults and children. Lots of greenery, palm trees, shrubs. Chipmunks run around the hotel, the hotel has a nice beach where turtles swim, snorkeling and diving are possible. Near the hotel, the entrance to the ocean is quite shallow, which is very suitable for vacationers with children. At the end of the rest, we found the beach to the left of the hotel - there were extreme waves and a sharper entry into the water, you can surf. Convenient location of the hotel - you can walk to restaurants, exchange offices (jewelry shops), take a tuk-tuk to the market, Galle Fort and other cities and attractions. I recommend it!

The hotel pleased us with a beautiful view of the Ocean, delicious food and service!!! We were greeted immediately from the road with glasses of delicious juice. When we checked into the room , we brought a plate of fruit . The rooms are very spacious, each room has an ocean view. Large balcony with sofa, table and two chairs.The room has 4 USB ports for charging your phone or camera. We additionally brought with us an adapter for the outlet, (they have an English version) - not European outlets. As well as left - hand traffic . The air conditioner is not noisy. There is a three-bladed fan above the bed, which is turned on by a white remote control. In the bathroom there are bottles of fragrant body cream, shampoo conditioner, shower gel. All made from good cosmetics, as well as a wonderful fragrant, round soap. I would also like to thank you for the excellent Internet connection , it is all over the hotel and even we were walking along the road , 100 meters away , it was still working !!! At the reception, it is connected upon arrival at the hotel. 🏩 Every day, 2 glass bottles of water are brought, refilled, coffee, tea, cream, sugar, a good sugar substitute ! We had a half-board buffet at the hotel.We had lunch in the nearest cafes, restaurants, as well as in the restaurant at the hotel. Everything is within walking distance.. You can walk to the right and after 200 m, across the street, go to the green supermarket , the prices are excellent! It 's a good choice , and there 's an alcohol store to the left of it . Going back to the Hotel , you can go to a good massage parlor , where we had 2 excellent massages at pleasant prices . This hotel is considered the best in Hikkaduwa. I definitely recommend this place. I liked the hotel! It was early November, not really the season. But all the days we swam in front of the hotel. The waves are not very big. It's very convenient, you don't have to go anywhere. They also teach surfing here. The turtles are also in front of the hotel, they come every day :). All rooms have a view of the ocean (but I don't know if it's visible everywhere - we were on the 3rd floor). The buffet is good - side dishes, fish, shrimp, meat, ice cream, and very good and beautiful desserts (they cook themselves). There is always something to eat, even moody children did not stay hungry :). Spicy dishes are marked with pepper. We are very happy with our vacation and the country! The rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly. Cons: rooms for a maximum of 3 people, unfortunately, we had to take 2 rooms for 5 people (3 children)... 3 days out of 9, there was a lot of garbage in the sea (of course, the hotel has nothing to do with it, apparently the place is like that). I didn't really like the "border" between the sea and the hotel, it was a bit rough under the palm trees, and the boats were piled up. This is no longer the territory of the hotel, but it spoils the view.

The best hotel in Hikkaduwa with the best beach Even in the "off season" with a choppy ocean, you can swim carefully, since the beach is surrounded by reefs and the waves are not so strong. The hotel staff is constantly trying to create excellent service, which they generally do, but sometimes they openly ask for tips. The building itself is no longer new, but it is clean and it is clear that it is being watched. As I understand it, all rooms have ocean views and have their own private terrace with stunning views. Cleaning is carried out every day. The hotel also has a swimming pool, gym, spa area, separate sun beds for hotel guests on site, but not on the beach, as the beach itself is public. The food is a wonderful and varied buffet, both with traditional dishes and familiar European food. The food is delicious. At first, they only took breakfast in the hope that it would be more economical and more interesting to go to neighboring establishments, but in the end they realized that if they did not want to experiment, it was more profitable to eat at the hotel. A separate lunch at the hotel per person costs 5 thousand rupees, and dinner costs 6. That's about the average cost of a check in any establishments around, if not cheaper. And if you buy full board right away, it's much cheaper. For example, measuring the type of food from "breakfast only" to full board cost $26 per person. But keep in mind that all drinks at lunch and dinner are not included in the price and must be ordered separately for a fee. They only pour water for free. It is also worth mentioning about the prices in the hotel bars. It is not particularly profitable to order something there, since they have a margin on alcohol of 2 or more times. It is much cheaper to go to a local Wine Store nearby and buy local products yourself, as the prices for imported brands are simply exorbitant. I recommend the store by walking a little to the right from the hotel next to the Sandagiri supermarket. An important feature is that all prices for locally produced products are controlled by the state and therefore are printed on the goods at once and cannot differ in different stores. One of the disadvantages of the hotel is the crows, which also live on the territory of the hotel. They scream, grab food, and cause a little discomfort. Also keep in mind that there are practically no special activities on site. Well, the surroundings are essentially a small resort town, where there is almost nothing special. But if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a picturesque place with excellent service and food, then this hotel will definitely suit you.

About chocolate, they advised to bring dark chocolate, but I will say that there is no better chocolate than our Alyonka. About money, they can change anything- dollars, euros and rubles. And cards are accepted even in tea shops. The people are very good-natured. About excursions. We went on safari from the tour operator and the 9th arch bridge. Yes, it's more expensive than on the street. But it is safer to take such excursions from a tour operator. And the neighbors can be on the street. And a tuk-tuk will take you there, there's a lot of choice. Prices for tea of 800 rupees per 250 grams were not found. The most normal price was 450 rupees per 100 grams in the store from the hotel to the left on the right side next to the Red Lodster. We tried calypso- it's cool! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

If you walk another 500 meters to the left, you can find safe waves that are a pleasure to ride and they are safe. In other places, he'll drag you away. The food in the hotel is suitable for any, even the most demanding taste. We took breakfasts and dinners, but for lunch we went to the fish market. If you leave the hotel, it's about a kilometer to the left. Take a tuk tuk (they will take you for 500 rupees, wait and bring you back to the hotel). Seafood is the freshest, cheapest, and they are butchered and cooked in front of you. I've never been poisoned))) not at the hotel, not at the market. Excursions can be safely taken from Misha, he himself comes to the beach (that's how he introduces himself) and does not overpay the travel agency of the sending company. The guides are Russian-speaking. Everything went OK. Getting alcohol at the hotel is very expensive. The store is within walking distance, where everything is much cheaper. It's easy to find it - if you go out through the gate of the seafood restaurant located on the territory of the hotel, you will run into it;) I recommend the local rum and Lion beer. In the same direction, next to the alcohol, delicious gyros are prepared - take it safely.

It is very convenient - you can safely leave things on the sunbed, no one will take them. I really like the local population: the Lankans are friendly, not intrusive, when buying in shops, markets you can always get a discount, they have a desire to communicate with tourists and learn Russian, they know a few words. In restaurants, the menu is duplicated in Russian. The hotel staff is always ready to help, they are greeted with a smile and a greeting. All rooms at this hotel overlook the ocean and have a large terrace with a sofa, table and chairs. There is an air drying device in the room, we dried things on it, very convenient! The restaurant is large, there are different eating areas: an outdoor terrace overlooking the raging ocean (we loved to sit there), an indoor part with split systems and a terrace in front of the pool. We were completely satisfied with the food, sometimes they gave us shrimp, squid, there was always fish too. When they wanted more seafood, they went to local restaurants. I really liked the rest! I want to come back to Sri Lanka again and again!

Eating with fluctuations is not very good , but there is always something to eat , fruits are always different , especially for breakfast . Relaxing with children makes everyone happy. The location of the hotel is good, everything is nearby. There are seafood and Italian restaurants on site, and the prices are reasonable, the same as in typical restaurants nearby. We liked the hotel. The most important thing is that good staff is everywhere and security and reception and maids and in the restaurant ., they react quickly, friendly and smiling . We rested at the HIKKA TRANZ BY CINNAMON 4* hotel from October 7 to October 14. We liked the hotel. The rooms are spacious, the view is awesome, we lived in room 220. The balcony is gorgeous, with a sofa, table, chairs. There are hangers in the closets, a safe, there is enough of everything, the beds are comfortable, there are many light bulbs for lighting. The kettle, cups, tea and coffee were replenished every day as needed, and water in glass bottles was also replenished. The air conditioner worked well, there is also an air dryer, but it makes a lot of noise, sometimes it was turned off. Our connector was only in one outlet, we took an adapter with us, we did not give adapters at the reception, I advise you to take your own. The plumbing worked well, shampoo, shower gel, shaving kit, shower caps – everything was there. When cleaning, they made different compositions of towels with flowers. The territory of the hotel is small, but pleasant. Chipmunks and monitor lizards are running around the territory. Crows attacked very strongly, they fly up to the left things, once they even got into a bag, pulled out a wallet, a crow flew away in its beak with a purse, sat down on a tree and pecked at the wallet. They chased crows all over the hotel. The main thing is not to leave anything out of the food, when we went swimming, we covered things with towels. But the hotel staff are also great, they run around and cover the left things themselves, they can take your things away during the rain, they try for you. The beach is small, but you can swim. There were no huge waves, we swam every day, we really liked jumping on the waves on an inflatable circle, because it's not going to work to swim. The approach is good, sometimes pebbles and shells were washed, but it was tolerable to pass them quickly, aquashoos were not needed, although they took them with them. Turtles swam, sometimes they swam directly to the main beach where people swim, and not to the reef. It wasn't very comfortable. On the reef itself, Sasha, a volunteer employee of the hotel, showed small reef sharks, sea urchins, turtles, and everyone was fed. If you want to retire, you need to go somewhere, because there is surfing on the beach, and turtles, and crowds of Lankans sometimes) Our meals were "all inclusive" and we never regretted it. A good buffet, you could choose European food, there are icons for spicy foods. The breakfasts are also very good, there was always an omelette and fried eggs in a flatbread, a lot of pastries, fried bacon, muesli in yogurt in small serving jars, smoothies in glasses, 4 different types of juice for breakfast (from packages), vegetables, fruits. Freshly squeezed for an additional fee. The fruits were passion fruit, papaya, guava, red and yellow watermelon, pineapples. The disadvantage that we noted is that you can't pour yourself tea or coffee for breakfast, you need to wait for the waiter and order, sometimes for a long time. For lunch and dinner there were various soups, even mashed potatoes, pizza, good desserts, seafood, fish, shrimp in batter, crabs, squid. There is a lot of local food, but we are not fans of such cuisine, but you can try it. I didn't really like cucumbers, tomatoes and cabbage were normal. From drinks: soda – fanta cola sprite, pineapple juices, lemon, papaya and something else like, there were no orange and apple typical for us. Water, because we had everything included, we took from bottles, and the rest are poured from a jug, or you can buy, at the exit of the restaurant, a bottle of water in glass costs 100 rupees. There are very good snacks in the bars during the day, French fries, burgers, tuna and mozzarella sandwiches, vegetable rolls, salads (3 types) near the pool (I attach the menu in the photo). The all-inclusive cocktail list is small but delicious, we liked the cocktails and they do very well. It is convenient that in the evening, when the bar is open from 22:00 to 00:00, you can also take the same snacks if you returned late or did not eat enough for dinner). Plus, it's not delicious everywhere, and the prices are not so affordable, you buy one dish – but it turns out not to be very good. The buffet is simpler in this regard. Alcohol in the store is expensive, more expensive than in Russia. In the hotel bar, 1 cocktail on average costs around 2500-3000 rupees, snacks 2000-3000 rupees, so if you eat a lot and plan to drink a lot – everything is included perfectly! We think we were lucky with the weather, because it rained once in the afternoon during the week, but this did not prevent us from swimming in a warm pool, it was even great, because we usually swam in the ocean. And one more time it rained all day, but that day we went on an excursion. The hotel provides very large, good umbrellas, so you don't have to take them with you. The hotel is gorgeous, Sri Lanka is good, but I want to return to the season, get more sunshine. It was warm, but mostly cloudy.

Earlier, reading reviews about Sri Lanka, I was confused by tourists' discontent about the scarcity of food, the lack of civilized hotels and more or less acceptable service... Once on vacation, I didn't want to wring my hands and look up at the sky in mute reproach: why was I being punished by having to spend my vacation days in some shack?.. But, oddly enough, when I booked a vacation at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon 4*, Superior Ocean Vista, Full Board, I fully enjoyed the few days of vacation that I managed to extort from my superiors... So, in the period from 11/19/2024 to 11/29/2024, I was lucky enough to have a rest in this hotel...By the way, it's worth saying that the agent of the Sun for Fun campaign was engaged in the armor - there are no complaints, everything worked like clockwork... The transfer was organized by the staff of the arrival campaign with dignity - signs, guides who speak good Russian, cars... Moving in a minivan with 6 passengers was without incident, the journey took a little less than an hour and a half, air conditioning in the car, comfortable seats, a good view from the window - what else is needed... We arrived at the hotel around 3 p.m., and were greeted by friendly staff, a welcome drink, and chilled wet towels to blot our faces and hands... After the formalities at the reception, we were checked into the room... The suitcases were delivered to the room by a porter and, of course, he expected a reward, here it is a couple of hundred rupees, well, or a dollar (which is about 300 rupees)... Yes! The room, I must say, is grandiose: spacious, bright, king-size bed for two + a free-standing sofa, where an adult can perfectly fit; air conditioning, a large wardrobe with a bunch of hangers, a free safe, a TV with the possibility of watching Russian channels we are familiar with online for free, an ironing board with an iron firmly embedded in it), large open loggia overlooking the ocean, comfortable upholstered sofa on the loggia, + table and chairs in the same place... In the room, daily replenished bottled water, tea bags, coffee, cream, sugar. There is a refrigerator... The bathroom has a rain shower, an all-bathroom mirror, a toilet bowl with the possibility of using it as a bidet, a hair dryer, individual packages of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a razor outlet... Adapters for electrical appliances are required everywhere... Every bedside table has USB ports for charging phones, which is very convenient... Lots of switches - you can turn off the lights at the exit of the room, you can lie on the bed... There was a dehumidifier in the room... The Internet is stable and unlimited throughout the hotel, which is a huge plus! Room cleaning is daily, towels are changed daily, bed linen is changed every three to four days... Tips are welcome. We lived on the fourth floor, and Rasun, a young Lankan who took a conscientious approach to his duties, often sculpted the local fauna out of towels, did the cleaning... His boss, Kapila, who knows Russian well, has repeatedly given valuable advice on how to organize your time... In general, Sri Lankans are friendly, open, and positive... I want to come back to such places again and again, the coziness and comfort that all employees create are worth a lot! So, the room turned out to be excellent (by the way, the renovation year of the hotel is 2021), so I didn't have to worry about everyday problems - it's already good... The hotel itself is very well located, on a small bend, so there are a couple of small backwaters with no large waves, which allows you to swim freely in the ocean without fear of being swept away by the current into the open ocean, besides, sea turtles swim to this backwater, there is an opportunity to feed them with algae, buying them for a nominal fee from local or by collecting the algae a little further away by yourself... In addition, the turtle habitat is included in Hikkaduwa guidebooks and you can often see tourists from other hotels who come specifically to this attraction... He's right next to you, 50 meters away). The hotel's territory is fenced off, security guards are on duty at the exits, and the possibility of unauthorized entry is practically minimized... There are a lot of palm squirrels and a couple of monitor lizards on site... At about six in the morning and at six in the evening, a bird chatter of parrots and crows awaits you... Of the 10 days we spent at the hotel, there were a couple of rainy days, and even then it was raining intermittently, so there was plenty of time to sunbathe...It seemed that Sri Lanka would be as stifling and humid as the whole of Asia, but no, +28+30 felt comfortable, as if somewhere in central Russia... There are plenty of sun beds with mattresses and umbrellas on site... Beach towels are available daily at the pool bar... Along the coastline, to the right of the hotel, to the left, there are a lot of cafes with a varied menu... Since we didn't want to bother with food, we took an all-inclusive package and didn't lose... At the entrance to the restaurant, we were greeted by Renuka, a sweet young girl with a radiant Mona Lisa smile, always ready to exchange a few phrases, recommend interesting dishes or suggest interesting locations near the hotel... The catering at the hotel is a buffet... For breakfast there are eggs in any form, yoghurts, pastries, pancakes, but no butter, more like a spread; cheese, sausages (far from what we are used to), rice porridge or sorghum (I'm not sure))), coffee, tea by ordering through a waiter at any meal for free, fruit drinks packaged (freshly squeezed for a fee)... Lunch is always a couple of soups, a variety of vegetable side dishes, and sliced vegetables will help you assemble your salad, various legumes, pork or beef (unfortunately, they can't cook meat), poultry, seafood, sweets, ice cream, and fruits... Dinner is almost the same as lunch... with minor variations... There are local dishes, but they are quite specific: spicy or a lot of unusual spices, a lot of legumes... The locals have a greater preference for vegetables in their diet than for meat and fish... The restaurant has several dining areas - there is an outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean, and you are sitting 50 meters from the ocean waves! There is a room with a working air conditioner, there is an outdoor terrace under a canopy next to the hotel pool ... However, if everything went perfectly, it would be akin to a dream... But as you know, in every barrel of honey, there is always a place for a fly in the ointment... The lunch buffet is more victorious, the dinner is generally normal, there is something to eat, meat, fish, everything is decent. Turtles do come, there were several every day, the locals sell bags of algae with which to feed them. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel, a couple of massage parlors and, of course, souvenirs. In the evening, all kinds of programs and shows are arranged, the hotel bar is large, there is a fish restaurant on site where you can order dishes from lobster, crab, shrimp, lobsters, and all kinds of local fish. I was at this hotel with my husband for the May holidays, I didn't even expect that I would like the hotel so much. We chose the hotel because of the location mainly, I was prepared for the fact that the rooms are not new and this is so, the rooms just need updating. But otherwise everything is fine, not a big but beautifully manicured territory, and how many chipmunks are there, rushing past, stealing pineapples from cocktails)) the beach at the hotel is not bad, the depth is good, the waves are very small and it's in May, people were swimming with infants. A lot of turtles swim, small sharks, high) We had breakfast, a large selection, delicious, there was enough of everything. There are a lot of guards on the territory, they keep order, they don't bother. We didn't swim in the pool, I took a dip once when I was walking by - the water was hot) It's much cooler to swim in the Ocean)) The hotel left very cool memories, it even became a family or something)) I want to go back, it rarely happens to me. But somehow everything about him was harmonious and spiritual) Good service, any issue was solved, there are an incredible number of cafes and restaurants around, even to the left or to the right. And right in front of the hotel entrance, across the street, there is a very tasty establishment called the Appetite Restaurant.

An old but clean hotel. The advantage lies in the location. There is a bus station and a market within walking distance. There are no waves because nearby islands take on all the waves. Sea turtles , small sharks and other fish are always available.
