Hobyar Cami Mosque is located in Sirkeci district, which belongs to Fatih district. It is a very central and lively area of Istanbul, close to Sirkeci Train Station, Eminenyu district and the Egyptian Bazaar (Spice Bazaar). The mosque was built during the Ottoman period, presumably in the 15th century. It is named after its founder, Hobyar Hatun. Compared to the grandiose imperial mosques of Istanbul, it is a relatively small but charming and historically significant mosque. It represents the early Ottoman architectural style.
