The rooms are cheap, but you can live! There are shops and restaurants nearby. The railway station is right under the windows, but there is no noise from it, since the terminal is there and the trains approach slowly. It takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the lake, you just need to go through the Kempinski hotel and get right to Strbske Pleso. It's a long way to go to the cable car, but you've come to rest - take a walk! I won't say about the food at the hotel, since I was here for work and ate at other restaurants. Be prepared that many shops close very early here.
