Hotel Mekke is a sympathic hotel in the heart of Istanbul. The staff is very nice, special thanks to Ugur.

I don't recommend it. They were from September 19 to 29, 2024.There is a construction site in front of the hotel at night. It is impossible to sleep. The cleaning is bad, even the garbage is not always taken out. The rooms are tiny . A room for two. But in fact, there is nowhere to turn alone.. There's nowhere to put things.Blankets are used instead of blankets. They gave out a torn one. They asked to change it and did not change it.Towels are only one at a time. Per person. They asked for it only for the 3rd day. The staff hardly understands English. The breakfasts are sufficient. But they strictly ensure that he does not even take out a bun with him..The water is always hot in the room. But the toilet is combined with a shower, all of a tiny size. The elevator is working.
Plus one hotel near the center. There is a metro bus tram nearby. You can quickly get to the center and the main attractions.
The hotel is mainly used by local shuttles. In the mornings and evenings, huge bales lie on the floor in the lobby of the 1st floor. You can't really hear it on the upper floors. Although the sound insulation is poor between the rooms

The hotel is normal. You can live.
Cons: double bed in fact - one and a half. Poor bathroom planning. The eternal swamp. Dries moderately quickly. The place is noisy.
Positive: good location - near metro and tram. A good breakfast. There is a refrigerator.

I really liked the hotel. I think the price-quality ratio is optimal. After all, everyone wants to live as close as possible to the historical center. But there was ga my dates are significantly more expensive for me. Therefore, I stopped in Mecca, a 4-minute walk to the tram stop. 2-3 stops to the nearest attractions. And I always walked back in general. From Sultanahmet Square it is about 20 minutes by walking)
Breakfast is traditionally Turkish, vegetables, cheeses, pastries. Everything is fresh and delicious. Cleaning every day, it seemed to me that everything was clean. But I'm not very picky) There was sooo little in the room - just a shower and sleep)

I've been wanting to visit Istanbul for a long time. Finally, the trip took place. I wanted a small hotel, close to the main attractions. Mecca fully meets the requirements) 7 floors with 5 rooms per floor. Russian-speaking reception. The room is small, but it has everything you need. Including a small refrigerator. A kettle and cups can be requested at the reception.
One of the disadvantages is very good audibility (however, as in many hotels).... here you will be lucky with the neighbors. And the shower is not very comfortable, there is no fence and the water spreads all over the bathroom floor. But, it can be survived)

The hotel is on fire. My wife and I had a room on the second floor. It's quiet and cozy. I immediately took out the split grids and washed them.
