The Iberostar Group Hotel is located near the town of Playa Del Carmen on the Caribbean coast. This is a complex of small three-storey buildings stylized in the colonial architectural style and located along the perimeter of the hotel square, more precisely along two perimeter lines. The rooms have a standard set of amenities: shower, toilet, air conditioning, ceiling fan, refrigerator with drinks, glass water bottles from the cooler, mirrors, safe, beds are quite comfortable and spacious, armchair, sofa, table and plastic chairs on the balconies, clothes dryers (grab clothespins) towels, cleaning daily. There is an iron and ironing board. TV- programs are not designed for Russian speakers. American sockets are flat, you need an adapter. The hotel is conditionally divided into two parts with its own registration each. The first reception is Quetzal, the second is Toucan. You can easily move from one part to another and back again. The infrastructure is shared: restaurants, buffets, a beach, a small park with wild animals, swimming pools, there is a pool for kids, staff service. The staff speaks Spanish and English fluently, no other opportunities were offered, but it's not scary everyone has a smartphone with a translator in their pocket and communication always happens successfully. Credit cards issued are accepted for payment...in general, who has either pesos in cash or US dollars. All price tags are with a dollar sign, but these are prices in pesos, it's just that Mexicans don't have a sign to indicate the local currency. If you want to understand the cost in rubles, multiply by 6 (as of October 2023). By the way, you need to remember that when leaving the hotel you will need to pay a special fee, and in our case, due to a system failure, dollars were not accepted, payment was only by card or in cash pesos, it turned out 343 pesos per person. In order to navigate in the mode of operation of food facilities, they offer to download the application, in restaurants the dress code and you need to sign up, admission to buffets is free during opening hours. Bars without an appointment and tuxedos are also free. You can book excursions in Russian, representatives of tour operators are sitting everywhere, in addition to the listed currencies, they accept euros. The division into seasons is very conditional. The temperature here is the same all year round, 24 at night, 32 Celsius during the day, of course. In October there were tropical downpours, heavy but short. And yes, high humidity, the swimsuit does not dry out overnight, it is better to have a replaceable one. Sunrise at 6, sunset at 19, check for yourself. In the evenings, mass entertainers work, there are different performances, there are children's ones. And, again! There are no ATMs on the territory of the hotel to receive money using the China system card, you need to get out into the city. Kopel Bank (look for the golden key on the emblem) gives out a reasonable percentage. These cards do not work as a means of payment! So, is it worth it to visit here? Definitely yes!
