Good afternoon to all and especially good afternoon to all the staff of the hotel! We had a rest from March 23 to March 27 at the INTERCONTINENTAL 5* hotel. First of all, I would like to note the reception of my guests by the staff! They are sweet, kind and always ready to help! This is also at the reception, these are the restaurant staff, these are the doormen (I don't know how these employees are properly called in the hotel), perhaps the receptionist.... Honestly, I didn't expect such an attitude! It feels so good! The hotel is very conveniently located, 3-4 minutes maximum to Sahil metro station, exchange office and pharmacy from the exit around the corner. The embankment with the Caspian Sea is a 3-4-minute walk away..., you left the hotel and there is an underground passage on the right, dive into it and exit it onto the embankment! Everything is nearby, and Old Baku is 10-15 minutes away on foot, and the square for festivities and the embankment, and on it to the left is the Carpet Museum, Venice with boats, the funicular and the ascent for 1 monat to the Flame Tower and Denis shopping center, and to the left is the Port, there are 2 shopping centers, and the simply stunningly beautiful embankment!!! The hotel offers excellent breakfasts-porridge, soup, cheeses, omelets, mushrooms, salmon and tuna fish, grilled vegetables, fruits, desserts, fresh juices, especially carrot juice! There is a small swimming pool, a hammam, a steam room, fruits at the entrance, and a wellness room. The hotel was opened in 2021, the cleanest rooms and THE EMOTIONAL ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF TO TEARS, AS IF WE WERE THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!! I advise and recommend everything!!!

I would like to share my experience of staying at the InterContinental Baku Hotel. The hotel stay was in May 2025. As far as I know, the hotel was founded in 2021 and is quite new. Externally, it is very beautiful both inside and out. To begin with, the location of this hotel is really very good — it is located in the very center of the city, which makes it an excellent choice for tourists and business travelers. The hotel is small, but it looks quite fresh and modern. We lived on the second floor, and it's worth noting that the thick walls do provide good sound insulation: despite the fact that our windows faced the main street, there was practically no noise from outside. I didn't notice any other visitors at the hotel. There was perfect silence. There is a metro station next to the hotel. Don't forget about the traffic jams in Baku. The street was constantly blocked near the hotel due to officials, sometimes there were problems with access to the hotel, we had to go around in circles. But, the Old Town is within walking distance, and the Russian Drama Theater is nearby. We went, it was amazing. A theater ticket costs 15 manats))). Fast food is interesting for teenagers, KFS and McDonald's are located nearby, as well as a bank branch with a good course nearby. Nevertheless, despite a number of positive aspects, we also had significant disappointments. One of the main criteria for choosing a hotel for us was the availability of a swimming pool and a gym. However, in fact, we only got a mini-pool with an inconvenient location. The hammam also left much to be desired: it had a disgusting sewer smell, and the necessary sheets were often missing. We also encountered frequent problems in the sauna — it sometimes did not work. In some cases, there was no drinking water in the cooler, which is also extremely unpleasant. As for the gym, it turned out to be very small, and it was uncomfortable to practice in it. The cleaning in our room was at the lowest level: they never dusted, there were bunches of long hair on the floor, which clearly could not be mine, since I have a short haircut. Dishes were not always washed, and napkins had to be replenished. In addition, there were no feminine hygiene bags in the room, and shampoos and gels were not disposable, and it was impossible to check their expiration date. The floor scales didn't work, and the room itself was badly prepared for check-in. For some reason, they constantly put the hair dryer on the highest shelf, it was very inconvenient with my short height, but they ignored the ironing board and iron. One robe was torn, had to be hung on hangers, the night latch in the room was chained, it was broken. This approach clearly does not meet the standards of one of the expensive hotels in Baku. However, it is worth noting that the work of the reception staff was impeccable: there were good conditions, responsiveness and a desire to help on the part of the staff. This positive impression somewhat brightened up our negative moments, but at the same time, for such money, you expect a higher level of service and comfort. In general, the hotel has its advantages, but it takes a lot of work on the disadvantages to justify its cost and reputation. I ask the management to pay attention to the disadvantages, as this is very important for the guests. The smell of sewage spoils the opinion of the hotel as much as possible.

Great hotel! It is a 3-minute walk from the sea. Polite staff. There are all necessary hygiene supplies. Excellent breakfasts. Massage at the spa is beyond praise. We were lucky enough to be alone in the sauna and pool. There was a cake waiting for me in my room on my birthday.
