Irina and I faced the most unpleasant situation: we arrived at night, and check-in at 2 p.m. All the travel agent could offer was to write a statement for the tour operator. We can't find a place to stay, we can't check in in the morning with the hotel reception - no, nothing like that, just a statement. That's exactly what I needed at 5 a.m. We were also accused of allegedly not responding to her messages, but we couldn't do that, we only had 30 minutes of Wi-Fi access.
