The bani of this mosque is Ismail Efendi, one of the Ottoman sheikhul islam. He built the mosque in the place where his own house was built in 1723. this mosque was used until 1922 and then the mosque remained deserted. Then it remained as a ruin until a selam, and it was rebuilt in 1952 and Mahmut efendi was appointed there as an imam in 1954. Mahmut efendi and muezzini Hasbi efendi have served there for many years.he did it . In the tomb of the mosque there are also 6 Sheikhulislam and the tombs of many scholars and the tomb of Ismail Efendi, the bani of the mosque.
