It is an excellent airport, very large and it is not immediately possible to navigate. There are many cafes, several macdonalds, souvenir shops, duty free and a huge lc waikiki store on the territory of the airport.
Not all airport staff speak English.
The arrival area is on the ground floor, if you transfer to another flight, then after receiving your luggage you need to go out to the common room, turn right, walk to the end and take the elevator to the second floor. There are flight registration zones, behind them in the center is the passport control zone and after passing it you get to the boarding area. It is very large, the airport operates in a very busy mode, calculate the time between transfers to the recs for at least 2.5-3 hours!!!
Carts can only be taken for coins, have some change with you!
There are racks for free wi-fi, a scan of one passport gives you half an hour for free, I recommend doing it alternately if you are traveling with a family or company.
The prices in the McDuck are in lira, they are recalculated at the checkout at the God-only known exchange rate in euros or dollars, as you want, but you will obviously overpay. They didn't eat in other places, I can't say for sure.

The airport is huge, but quite ergonomic.
The Duty-free zone is one of the best and most developed and filled of all that I have ever visited. The area of shops and their variety is great: from perfumes, leather goods and accessories to alcohol, tobacco and local dishes (oriental sweets). In other things, it is better not to postpone the purchase of the latter, as well as other local colorful things, to the airport, otherwise you will have to pay a lot for them and quite expectedly overpay.
But the prices for some accessories pleased me. I bought myself another RayBan here for 170 euros, which, in my opinion, is quite an acceptable price (compared, for example, with Moscow Duty Free stores, where the same position would cost 50-70-100%! more expensive (I made sure of this personally before flying to Istanbul).
The airport is clean, there are enough bathrooms [however, in the new terminals of Moscow Sheremetyevo - "B" and "C" - things are even better].
The main and most significant drawback of this airport, in my opinion, is its remoteness from the city center. Yes, recently a subway was built before it, but it runs at huge intervals (feels like ~ 30 minutes), it's packed with people, there are few seats (which, however, is normal for the subway). But do not expect him to have a perfectly adjusted schedule and the speed of the Moscow [for example] subway.
By the way, about "speed" - in this beautiful ancient city, and in the country as a whole - no one is in a hurry. Do not expect high-quality and clearly rendered services in any areas.
Unfortunately, it would be appropriate to mention here that when departing from this airport back to Moscow, check-in began only ~ 2.5 hours before departure, which completely left no opportunity to normally, efficiently and systematically go through the Duty Free shops, which, as mentioned above, differ in this airport in abundance and variety of goods... That is, we specially arrived at the airport in advance, and then "stupidly" waited for about an hour for check-in. This fact, of course, did not decorate this airport in our eyes at all.
In general, the airport is decent - in the best traditions of modern air harbors in Moscow, Los Angeles, London.

A huge and beautiful airport. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants. A variety of goods in duty-free: from alcohol to perfume. There are comfortable sleeping areas, VIP areas, clean toilets, no queues. Beautiful design, fast service, convenient locations. It is easy to navigate even without knowledge of the language. Queues for passport and customs control are very fast. However, to get access to Wi-Fi, you need to take a one-time password. Access is valid for only 15 minutes and can be taken only 1 time.

My favorite airport, there are so many interesting things for shopping, for gifts to loved ones, many cafes and restaurants, recreation areas, it is extremely clear and convenient for tourists, there are signs everywhere, you will not get lost. There is a hotel for a long wait. Not a bad comfortable room. Small, but quiet. There are no windows, it's more like a capsule. But there are also many free recreation areas where you can sleep. In general, all the conditions for a comfortable transplant.

The new Istanbul airport is stylish, chic and easy to understand. Everything is marked up, arrows everywhere, cleanliness and order. But it's huge. If you arrive in transit, it is better to have about 3 hours for a transfer, delays are often. Although it does not always depend on the airport, it is better to wait quietly than to deal with the airline later so that you can be shoved on some next flight. However, in the case of a long-term transfer, you will be faced with a lot of temptations in the form of countless restaurants and dutifrey shops. But nothing, we train the will, we do not give in!
I liked the fountains with drinking water, there are several of them and there is even boiling water, you can make yourself tea if you don't want to go to the cafe.
There are a lot of waiting chairs, there is even a hotel and rest capsules inside the airport itself, there is no need to go anywhere. I liked the hotel, the room is really small and the price is horse-drawn, but if you really need to, then you can fully relax. I haven't tested the capsules yet.
There is also free internet, but I had to do a tambourine dance to connect.
But in general, it is an excellent, modern airport, the Turks are doing well.

An excellent airport with a huge selection of cafes, restaurants, shops. You can buy everything from underwear to household utensils and useful accessories on trips. A whole city, which also has a place to relax. A lounge area where you can lie down and sleep, and it's free. One hour of Internet is free, then you need to buy with a card. This is inconvenient if there is no foreign bank card. But at McDonalds, you can choose food at the terminal, and pay at the checkout in cash.

I love this airport. It is grandiose in size, competently implemented. The modern, clean interior is fascinating. The ventilation works fine, the air inside is fresh. All services work well. Technically, the airport is thought out to the smallest detail. With millions of visitors, there is absolutely no hustle and bustle. The well-coordinated work of the staff is impressive. All signs are duplicated in several languages, and the staff is extremely customer-oriented.

I will note once again about cleanliness, there is a pleasant smell in the toilets, napkins, disposable toilet seats. Safely. and polite airport staff.

A huge new airport, similar to a shopping mall in terms of the number of shops. Prices for souvenirs are much higher than in the city. There is a place to eat, relax and charge gadgets. The toilets are clean. But it can be a long way to run from the entrance to the departure area, so don't do it at the last minute. They are very strict about liquids. We had small bottles of water sealed, but had to throw them away.
It takes about 40 minutes by taxi from the old town, if there are no traffic jams. But because there are decent traffic jams there, put in more time.
In general, the airport impressed with its scope.

A convenient modern hub . It is technologically advanced in all respects, including a capsule hotel and numerous cafes and restaurants. When compared with European airports . Then we can note the high level of comfort and service. However, as in all of Turkey, the prices are very high. This is typical for countries with hyperinflation . Overall, it makes a pleasant impression. The airport staff is polite and helpful.

One of the best airports in the world, excellent access and departure. There are inexpensive shuttles from the airport to the city, taxis in the airport exit area are very expensive, I also do not recommend calling a taxi, the price is not fixed. It is better to catch a taxi at the entrance to the airport, on the top floor, the cost is 1000 liras, to any hotel in Istanbul. There is free Wi-Fi at the airport for 1 hour with a passport. I do not recommend changes, the rate is very low. It is easy to navigate, there are a lot of shops and cafes.

The airport is very large, it's easy to get lost, but since this is not the first time we fly through this airport, everything is familiar, we quickly go through everything necessary. I like that the work of the airport is well established, like a big good mechanism. Previously, the boarding gate was shown on the scoreboard only an hour before departure and you had to run fast, because the airport is large. Now this information appears in two hours and it is very convenient to calmly, without haste, reach the gate. There is a lot of duty-free at the airport, but the prices are high, I think.

A very huge new airport, everything is logically understandable, intuitive, but just a huge number of people. On the 1st floor there is an arrival zone, everything is simple - we arrived, received our luggage (there are many displays indicating the pick-up area), there is a cafe at the exit, exchangers, car rental, ATMs on the 2nd floor. It is impossible to exchange rubles at the airport or withdraw money from a union Pay card, but there are no problems in the city. A car can be rented for cash. In the departure area there are several playgrounds with climbing walls, slides, many shops and cafes, but the food is very expensive, probably one of the most expensive in the world.. Registration and customs control passed quickly enough, we registered in the business lounge (there is also a queue there..), ate, rested, took enough food, drinks, water, fruits with us, we flew with the infamous Victory)), where they neither drink nor feed for a 5.5 hour flight, and tickets are very expensive...they barely "stuffed themselves" into the infamous "norms" of Victory and flew home... There are strollers for children, strong enough, my child likes to ride them, while we were driving to the business hall and stood in line - I even slept .., bags, backpacks were placed on it - I stood everything, and none of the employees scolded that the child was big (at 8l , 140 height)- this is a huge plus.. Everything is clean, both in the bathrooms with such a flow and in the business hall..

The airport is huge, you have to walk everywhere a lot, but despite the presence of people and queues, everything goes fast and you don't have to worry. Any queue, even a large one, is rapidly decreasing. There are a lot of shops and there are crowds of people here. There are several duty free and there is one very large and large set of goods. But the IgA business lounge is a huge train station, where there is no place at all and only free food is among the advantages. I used the Dragon Pass, but somehow I didn't want to come there again. Only if it is absolutely necessary to sit for many hours. Everything else is like at a normal airport. Neither better nor worse. Maybe even a little better.

Big. But everything is clear. The scoreboard is everywhere. There are enough benches for everyone. The dining area is on the second floor, the fast food is large. He must be found. There aren't many people. Passport control is in the center. Then the check. Everything is accessible and understandable. But it is very convenient to get there by bus from Aksaray metro station. Every 30 minutes, 24 hours, there is a schedule. It costs 170 lire. 50 min. HVIST 12. Straight to the airport entrance. And also to Istanbul, upon arrival by bus. Taxis are expensive now. You can also take the subway, yes, directly from the airport, the M11 line also runs every 30 minutes. He's driving fast. But the transfer to the M2 line is very long. You're coming... There are no signs. Down the stream. You can walk for an hour... It takes a long time to get down to the subway and up.... And dreary. There are a lot of people. Therefore, I recommend a warm and comfortable bus. There is a tram near Aksaray metro station that goes directly to Sultanahmed Square. Straight to the center. 5 quick stops and you're there. Take the Istanbul card, the card itself is 70 liras and for each trip about 30 liras. This is the ferry on the other side, and the subway, bus, tram. It is possible for several people to pass in a row on the same card.

It's a great big airport, it's impossible to get lost. It is easy and fast to get to the center of Istanbul by metro, avoiding traffic jams on the way in a taxi. Hundreds of shops for every taste and budget🤑 The cost of cosmetics and perfume is top, we always try to buy something, but sweets are more profitable to take in the pastry shops of Istanbul. In the cafe, prices are indicated in lira, but they also accept euros. Also keep in mind that luggage is usually given out for a long time + it may take time to find a gate, you need to take this into account when making international transfers.

Clean, modern, comfortable, but your boarding gate may be a quarter of an hour away from the DutyFree zone, a very fast walk with a transition to running.. calculate your strength and time in advance. If €2 per bottle of water in the safe zone seems too much to you, a soft sports bottle can be filled from special drinking taps scattered around the terminal. Free WiFi is issued through special red terminals (you need to pass your passport through the reader, get the code), valid for 1 hour.

One of the best business halls I've been to. The airport is convenient, similar in layout to Savarnabum, I have flown from here many times. A pleasant hourly hotel on site. The only thing is, I missed my flight once due to a delay that led to the transfer of the gate, which was not announced by voice, and I did not pay attention to the scoreboard on the way to my gate, as a result, I came there, there is no plane and it is on another gate at the other end of the terminal, I did not have time to get there. Purely a joint of the information service. A couple of weeks ago, a similar situation almost happened, but I already learned this feature of the airport, and the replacement gate turned out to be nearby.

The lounge area is small, but there is everything you need. Hot meals, snacks, alcohol. However, I have never even seen a shower.
The room itself is huge. I recommend setting aside time for a walk. There are many interesting installations. Well, the shops.
I recommend moving out for boarding at the latest - 30 minutes before it ends. The airport is big. I somehow noticed that I walked to the terminal for 20 minutes at a brisk pace.
Upd found a shower on another flight. 2 booths and both were unoccupied. Disposable towels, washcloths, sponges are provided. It is located near the toilet near the billiard table and massage.

The toilets are lovely with disposable toilet pads and a bidet function.
The only drawback (it is at our Airport, but not there) is the departure schedule indicating the terminal appears about an hour before departure. And the downside is that there are no lounge chairs in the waiting room where you can comfortably recline.

A chic, comfortable, beautiful airport! With convenient logistics from Istanbul - there is even a subway! Polite and friendly staff! An additional point of growth in the comfort of this huge international hub would be, in addition to airline representative offices, to make representatives of countries working around the clock at the airport. If there is a problematic situation with a transit passenger from Russia, they could explain to him in their native language what is happening and what solutions to the current situation there are. In YOUR NATIVE language! Many problematic issues would be solved in this way. And one of the best airports in the World would be even more comfortable!
