The minaret was built in 1852 More than 200 craftsmen worked on the main mosque of the Kokand Khanate, and the artel usto from Ura-Tube (Istaravshan) was headed. Therefore, it is no wonder that the main attraction of the Jami Mosque is the painted ceilings, which are not found in the homeland of the creators Jami has a typical Central Asian device - a small hall, relative to the courtyard. But in absolute terms, its hall is larger than that of many churches in Russia. Near the western ivan, we were caught by a caretaker who hardly speaks Russian with a notebook, and I was afraid that here they would want to get a review from us... but fortunately, they only wanted money from us for the ticket. The mosque now has a museum with full-fledged exhibition halls
