We decided to take the risk and save money by going to 3 * for the first time, as we decided that for us the hotel is mainly a place to sleep, and the rest of the time we are at sea, excursions, walks. The exchange rate of new colored dollars at the airport is 305 rupees, on tourist street 306, the guide who met us at the airport from the travel company bought them from us for 307. A small hotel with 16 rooms, a gate, a small reception room, 4 of us were accommodated in the 2 remaining rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. The rooms are no different from 4 and 5* in terms of floor: air conditioning, TV, kettle, safe, beds, cupboards, ceiling fan, gel and shampoo in the bathroom, two soaps, a full set of towels for 2 people: for shower, for hands, for the beach, and only one for the floor, each 2 bottles of water and a coffee and tea set are brought every day. Advantages of the hotel: - hotel security 7/24. - this is right on the first coastline, the ocean is 5 seconds away, the beach is excellent, the water is clean and transparent, during the rest I took out two bracelets from beads from local shops from the bottom, swam with fins and a mask, the waves do not reach the shore, break on the reefs in the center of the bay, - clean bed, linen, towels. - the hotel restaurant prepares delicious, large dishes, we took breakfasts and dinners, the breakfasts are about the same type every day, the waiter takes out: a fruit plate, with some variations, two sausages, a piece of ham, omelet or glaze, toast, butter, jam, pancakes, honey with jam, tea or coffee, dinners You can choose from the restaurant's menu: salad, soup, second course, fruit or ice cream for dessert, without tea. Dinner at the hotel is much cheaper than in cafes and restaurants in the city, the portions are large, and the food is prepared at a good level. There were people from other hotels who liked the restaurant of this hotel, came to dinner for payment. - the pool is cool with a great view, the water is pleasant, not cold, there are sun beds, it's a roof, like the 3rd floor. - there are plenty of sun beds, there is shade from palm trees, fungi, there is sun, you can choose how to sunbathe. - close distance to turtle beach, 250 rupees drive from the hotel by tuk tuk, 500 rupees package of algae for feeding turtles at the entrance. The place is absolutely heavenly, the turtles were fed, photographed, swam, the water is cleaner and calmer than on the beach at the hotel, the reefs are closed from the waves, the views are gorgeous. - the alcohol market of the city is right around the corner, prices are much cheaper than in cafes and restaurants. - behind this store there is a good cafe verandah Sea Salt Bistro, they cook fish and pasta very tasty. - the city's tourist street is a 2-minute tuk tuk ride away, you can walk to the perfume shop, and you're on this street, walking along the beach even closer. - on the 4th day, the air conditioner broke down, and a new one was installed during the day. - Chandana's guy is on duty at the hotel gate on a red tuk tuk, speaks good Russian, a storehouse of local real information, about prices, excursions, the right places and shops, took us to Koggala Lake, we are delighted, as well as from a trip to turtle beach and a wild beach in the jungle with a Japanese pagoda. I highly recommend it. Disadvantages of the hotel: - the rooms are tired, but for me they do not differ in this regard from rooms 4 and 5*: I saw in them the same condition of furniture, walls, curtains, and others. There was even new plumbing here. This is a personal matter, depending on the date of the renovation of the hotel. - cleaning and garbage collection are not daily, on request, no one will clean the bed for you, no one comes into the room. We asked to take out the trash on day 3, requested cleaning on day 4, and changed the laundry ourselves when cleaning on day 4. We did everything right away. - one room was on the 2nd floor, under the pool, with windows facing the road and a balcony at the end of the building: you can't hear the pool, you can hear the road, but it's not critical, we didn't notice or pay attention to passing cars, that's how it is at home if the apartment is by the road. From the end there is a type of loggia with a window, the ocean is visible. The room is odorless and well ventilated. The second room is on the ground floor with a view of the ocean, came out and here it is, 20-30 meters away. There was a slight smell of dampness, they were ventilated, apparently so-so ventilation, or the proximity of the ocean affects it. Therefore, the 2nd floor is definitely better. - there are no waves on the shore, but there is some current along the shore, which, if you are not standing or swimming, gradually drifts along the shore to the center of the bay. In general, this vacation was a success, according to the weather, water, beach, sun by 5++, according to the hotel in general 5+-, according to the rooms 4+-. If you do not notice the disadvantages, do not find fault, treat it as a place to sleep, then you should definitely go here: according to the beach, the water and the location of this hotel is definitely 5*: do only renovation.

The hotel is simply amazing. Clean, cozy. The rooms overlook a small garden and ocean views. There is a small restaurant in the garden. The restaurant's menu includes traditional and European dishes. The breakfasts are good, if there are a lot of people, then the buffet, if there are few guests, then the breakfast is simpler, but hearty and homemade. There is a small swimming pool at the top of the hotel overlooking the ocean, it is incredibly beautiful at sunset. In general, the hotel leaves only positive impressions: the staff is polite and very friendly, everyone speaks English except the security guard and the one who looks after the beach. The guard is vigilant, walks along the territory at night with a flashlight, escorts guests at late check-in / check-out. The person who looks after the beach always comes to the rescue, prepares sun beds, monitors the cleanliness of the beach. Funny chipmunks are found on the territory (they shout loudly and ridiculously at crows and dogs, dogs watch and chase strangers from the territory, but they are polite and affectionate with guests. The hotel has its own beach, but there is a public city beach nearby. City buses come there and arrange parties, which, however, end no later than at 21:00 - with this strictly. We are very happy with the hotel, we rested in August (out of season), but the ocean is warm, the waves are not so strong and there was no rain. I hope to get here in the season in the future.
