If you are in Johannesburg, be sure to visit the zoo. It is easily accessible to owners of vehicles, but public transport, in any case, is not popular in South Africa. There are no queues at the ticket offices. But there are days when schoolchildren are brought on buses and that's when it's fun and noisy. There is a cafe on site where you can have a snack. Many animal enclosures are open, protecting animals from visitors are rays and in some places electric fences)) Peacocks walk around the park wherever they want, a huge number of squirrels. I was a little upset that there are no more gorillas and polar bears in the park, there are still some animals missing, there are empty cages and aviaries. There is a feeling that the renovation and maintenance of the zoo is not at the same level as it was before. But anyway, it's a very pleasant place.
