The long old building on the corner overlooks the old city park, one block in size, where officers who had conquered Turkestan strolled... mostly without the ladies, because there were few women here, and they mostly followed their husbands. The old guidebook mentions the former library, public assembly and hospital located near the park, and the building looks like the latter from the above frame - long buildings with rows of large windows.
