October 19
In the middle of October, I was just drawn here! Despite the rains and the cold, I got on a motorcycle and rode... And, in the afternoon, far away! I chose the wrong path: I decided to come from the north, i.e. from the Kruglyansky district. As a result, I had to walk through the forest (an autumn forest with deep puddles, slippery grass and muddy mud!) drive a few kilometers. Sometimes he didn't really ride, but literally dragged his motorcycle on himself. No navigators are working in this forest - they can't see the roads at all! However, there is no road here: there are just many paths in different directions. Only the ability to navigate and keep the right direction can help here. Rains followed other rains, the evening sky became more and more overcast, time was running out, and the motorcycle's engine was starting to overheat from the strain of working in first gear... I thought for a moment that I had lost my way... But, something was still pulling me somewhere, and suddenly I saw it right in front of me! "Belarusian Stonehenge"! Yes, there is a mystical place in the forest north of the village of Zaozerye, Belynichi district - there is its own ancient stone complex "Stonehenge". In all likelihood, this is the most mystical place on the territory of Belarus. The complex is a kind of temple or burial ground with a large stone cross and stones scattered around in a kind of system in the form of a cube, hemisphere, plate. On many of them, you can see almost erased images of circles, crosses, lines, and triangles. Twelve-, six-, and four-pointed crosses, an arrow, a branch, and triangles are carved on individual stones. The most impressive thing is a large stone four–pointed cross with the image of a wolf's face in the middle of the cross. It immediately attracts attention by its size, the concavity of its surface, and specially made side rungs that resemble hands and seem to want to embrace the space in front of them. A person who leans against the hemisphere of the cross and closes his eyes immediately begins to feel his unity with it. To the west of the cross is a boulder in the form of a slab or plate. The shape of the signs carved on it is interesting. This is the "man-cross" and its smaller copy and other signs. It is believed that these may be ancient ideas of people about space and the universe, which go back centuries. There are also three boulders in the temple of the cross, which look like a human footprint. One of them is located at the "entrance" to the complex, and two are located at the edges. All the stones are overgrown with moss, and periodically go deeper into the ground until the water and local enthusiasts dig them up. Many legends are associated with this place. They say that once the stones were soft, like wax, because an animal or a person could leave such traces right in the stone. Some traditions, later, from the time of Christianity, boil down to the fact that these are the footprints of Christ or the Virgin. The water that flows off boulders during the rain is considered healing by locals, and the stones themselves are prophetic. People believe that if you touch a stone with a request or grief, the stone will "hear and help." By the way, in fact, the age of creation of this stone complex is not precisely determined. And so I suddenly drove straight to this temple (or was it not a temple?)! Here the signs of the presence of people were candles burning on the ground near the crosses! Someone brings them and lights them! And apparently he sees some sense in it! At the same time, colored ribbons were conspicuous on the rocks and trees... Lots of tapes. Already at the temple, I felt some kind of spiritual satisfaction from getting here. It's a pity that I couldn't stay here longer. The rain has temporarily stopped, but in the forest on October 14 at 17 o'clock the approaching nightfall is very noticeable! I had to hurry. It was much easier to leave here - in a southerly direction, i.e. towards the village of Zaozerye, Belynichi district. By the way, the road from Belynich to Zaozerye is quite acceptable. North of Zaozerye, it is also quite possible to drive through a field and forest to the temple. Anyway, I rode a motorcycle through the October mud here normally.
