The only advantage is that the territory is large, unfortunately there are a lot of disadvantages, customs officers deliberately create a mess and a crowd of cars, try to stall for time, sometimes they just do nothing, sit in the shade, and a huge queue of drivers and passengers stand under the blazing sun, where the temperature in the shade is over 45-47, some feel bad. It's all created specifically so that people will start begging them. The attitude towards people with disabilities is also disgusting.

Positive Modernization and technologization The Kaplanbek point was built/renovated according to modern international standards, equipped with modern technological equipment. Process automation The entire cycle of transport movement is automated. This helps to speed up the border crossing. Increased throughput It is expected that up to 20,000 people and ~800 passenger cars will be able to pass through Kaplanbek daily. Convenience for citizens Comfortable conditions have been created for crossing the border, especially for drivers and passengers of passenger transport. Reducing the load on other points When other neighboring checkpoints are closed for reconstruction, Kaplanbek helps to redistribute the traffic and human flow, which relieves some of the burden. Minuses Time constraints and irregularities at the start During the commissioning period, the checkpoint operates in a limited mode (for example, from January 27 to February 5, limited traffic) before going to full capacity. Queues on public holidays and increased traffic On holidays (for example, Eid al-Adha), there is a significant accumulation of cars and people, which causes delays. Infrastructure loads Despite the upgrade, there may not be enough resources (staff, lanes, and driver services) during peak periods. Trucks are not always immediately available At the start, the point worked mainly with individuals, buses and passenger transport; freight transport is not always serviced yet. Reviews about the service and convenience Among the reviews, there are complaints about long waits, slow service speeds, and the possible lack of some amenities or inconveniences in transport/ movement within the point.

The border crossing, at the time of writing, is being crossed on foot, by buses, and by passenger cars. On the part of Kazakhstan, the queue is regulated spontaneously, they can get in without queuing, on the part of Uzbekistan, there is an electronic queue for an entry ticket, which is more convenient. Both sides offer to arrange car insurance and currency exchange, everything is surprisingly honest, the insurance works, and the exchange rate is quite normal and then the money is accepted, so it's not fake..) Passing by car: you enter the territory at the call of the border guard, while the car is in line for inspection - passport control, customs control and the actual inspection. There should be 3 seals on the issued paper coupon, and one more in the passport.

Here, one star is too many, the capacity is so low that you can be stuck for hours in the waiting room in front of the checkpoint, the Uzbek side is even worse. Hundreds of people are crowding in line, only 2 windows are working, if you can call the plywood fence a window.

It's a very messy checkpoint with the atmosphere of a typical oriental bazaar – everyone is shouting something, drivers are looking for victims for easy money, some gypsies with children are begging for money, passport control staff are calling you - complete chaos. The passport check is stricter on the Kazakh side, and it may take a long time to verify the data if you are a foreigner. Apparently, the integration with the database is incomplete. They sold a non-working SIM card on the Uzbek side, which is why they spent a lot on roaming. In addition to the cost of the SIM card itself, money is also charged for registration, although the official office said that there are no additional payments when issuing SIM cards. I advise you not to buy anything with your hands. Communication at the border is not working well, your roaming (Kazakh) may disappear. Public buses are located away from the checkpoint, it is necessary to walk almost 1 km. Bus 120 goes to the center. At the very border, drivers, as usual, are pushing up prices a lot.

On the Uzbek side, everything is fine, they passed in one fell swoop, one way or the other. Good staff, they help with advice. But Kazakhstan leaves much to be desired. For some reason, it's a maze that is very inconvenient to go through with suitcases. Artificially create a stir, block the movement of people.

It is easier and more comfortable to pass from Uzbekistan. No need to stand in line for a long time. The staff is also polite. But from Kazakhstan, sometimes you have to stand in line for hours. Uzbekistan side is more easirer to pass and more comfortable. You do not need to srand in a queue for a long time. Staff is also polite. But in Kazakhstan side, you have to wait in a queue for hours sometimes

The specialists are good, but the sanitation is complete, there is garbage everywhere, the floors and walls are dirty, I don't say anything about the toilet at all, because it has never been clean, and it doesn't close at all, it seemed to me that there are no cleaners there at all, such a large institution, and is it really impossible to buy at least one scrubbing machine for such a place, so as always, it's crowded, and of course even cleaners are unlikely to succeed in cleaning up after such a stream of people, but we still live in a very developed civilization, and not organizing a normal cleaning is just a tin can, so many people pass through this customs every day and standing in queues must breathe this dust, and will not be able to go in need, because it's always dirty there, and the door doesn't close.

Very caring "employees" of the street! They can't help but offer different options so that you can be in front of the gates of the Kaplanbek checkpoint faster than anyone else. There was a moment when I refused to help and they quickly created a non-existent queue for my car)) After much loud talk, these "employees" of the street decided to leave!

Instead of direct access to the customs entrance gate, a passage through the "parking lot" was made. When passing through the barrier, they are required to pay 10 thousand soums for parking, as they have been staying for more than half an hour. Such a "good" business is out of thin air.

Employees at the border ask for money (a bribe), but the very first employee sees that there is no money in the passport and asks me, "is this your first time here? You don't know what and how?", then they wanted to have a conversation at passport control, allegedly because of the beard, although every 2 people there wear a beard, they also asked for 1,000 rubles at the car inspection, in order not to inspect the car, the National Security Committee, Antikor, take measures against this lawlessness.

I've never liked crossing the border on foot. And this post has always been the worst. The staff of the post are rude, arrogant, arrogant and irresponsible people, they talk to people as if they owe them something. There is no respect for either women or the elderly. Shame. Why work if you don't like your job?

A terrible checkpoint, a complete mess on the part of Kazakhstan, long queues. In Uzbekistan, all things are X-rayed, plus the car is almost completely disassembled... Horror, the 21st century is in the yard, is there any way to alleviate this outrage? After all, there are women and children in cars there, and you have to wait for hours for a car on the street until it is checked.

Terrible throughput, and most importantly, it is surprising that there is a different queue on the Kazakh side of the border for citizens of Kazakhstan and all other citizens, I have not seen this anywhere else. All Kazakhstanis were allowed into the room, while the rest waited in line under the sun. 👍👎👎👎👎 I give 1 star out of 5 because at least it 's working while Chernyaevka is under repair

It's a mess. No conditions have been created. There are a lot of money changers, as if there are no exchange offices. Mud. There are always traffic jams. Cars stand for hours to be inspected and driven to Uzbekistan. There are always a lot of people in our halls. But it all ends when you go over to the neighbors' side. Comfort and order. There are taxis and exchangers, and you can buy a SIM card at a communications store. When is it time to learn how to clean and do everything for the people

Good afternoon, we decided to visit our historical Homeland, our beloved Kazakhstan, we had this opportunity from Tashkent, the border is only 17 km away. The customs terminal is new, but I don't understand why we, the former Republics of the USSR, arrange such difficulties for the peoples who live in these territories, this is a bunch of passport checks, I counted about 10 times. In general, if you travel on foot, it happens more or less quickly, but if you travel by car, be prepared that you will lose the whole day at the border, and this happened with our colleague. Don't forget about the rules, no filming, talking on the phone, throwing bullheads, garbage, etc. This is not a small fine, but they will scare you more, which of course will spoil your mood and impressions of Central Asia, despite the fact that you will not see perfect cleanliness, urns, this is human traffic, dust, garbage, etc. Taxi is a separate topic, I don't know why, but Yandex couldn't find a car for us from the hotel towards the border with Kazakhstan, we tried to do it from four phones, but even. I'll tell you a trick, you call a taxi to an address in the city, and then just change it. It won't work that way on the way back, so only a local taxi, the prices will be 3 times higher, but this is not critical.

Good day to everyone. We stood at this border crossing on August 7, 2025 from 18-30 for about 7.5 hours. They entered from the Republic of Kazakhstan. The journey from Almaty to the Kaplanbek checkpoint took about 9 hours (this includes all stops). What is happening at this border crossing cannot be described in simple words. In general, we are still far from developing tourism. Incomprehensible queues, incomprehensible windows, the QR code is also not clear to me (the system is not stable). The question is why the fuck can't everything be done on a one-stop-shop basis. The person came, took the ticket in the queue and then you are called and you arrange everything in one window?!?!

This is something not for the faint of heart. Kazakh customs was cleared in 40 minutes. Uzbek in 7 hours. The customs officers work disgustingly, talking, laughing among themselves, looking at the phone. They check at their leisure. We almost got into our pants, I don't know what they're looking for. There is no toilet for people. It's just a shame.

The worst is that they don't let you through customs without money, as soon as you start entering, they start asking where the money is and why is it empty like without money and they themselves form a queue like a traffic jam, whoever gives money will be let through and whoever doesn't have money will wait for their turn for days, such a relationship as if everyone owes them

Transfer from Kazakhstan on 05/01/25. Before the border, change some money (in the region of 300,000 soums). People will come up to you, offering a ticket without waiting in line, they will say that there are 40 cars in front of you, and they will take you for only 2000 rubles. You don't need any ticket, move towards the gray gate (there will be a pedestrian crossing on the left). We may have to wait for them to open (we waited 5 minutes). After the gate, you need to put a stamp on passport control for all passengers (a gray trailer, we go around the windows on the left). Then you go to the bridge and you have to stand there. The cars are allowed through in parts, they stood for about an hour. There is no toilet in this part. After you pass the gate, you get in line of cars. You need to get out right away and go through passport control. Passengers in the building (there is also a toilet), the driver with all the documents, including the car, in a gray trailer (immediately find out who is the last one). There they will put a coupon in your passport, with it you need to climb the stairs to another trailer (located behind) to receive a QR code for paying the fee for tinting the car (the operator will tell you to take a picture of the payment on your phone, with this photo we go to the cashier). During all this, do not forget to move the car in the queue for inspection, this will speed up the process. With the code, we go to the cashier and pay 220,000 soums in cash. This can be done after the inspection of the car, if the queue has come up. You need to get all the things out of the car for inspection on the tape. After paying the fee, you need to stand in another queue with a receipt for payment - a trailer (customs clearance), and the last third seal will be placed there. After all this, we move straight to the gate, where they will check the passports and the toll coupon. After passing the border on the left, where the cafe is located, you can buy car insurance and a SIM card. The total time to cross the border is 2.5 hours. All the staff were polite, there were no problems.
