Karaunj is a place where heaven meets earth, creating inimitable harmony. Every moment here is filled with meaning, and every sound seems to whisper about distant times and legends hidden in the haze of mountain peaks.
Karaunj is not just a geographical point on the map, it is a state of mind, a journey into the depths of oneself. It attracts artists, seekers of truth and just dreamers who are ready to discover the secrets hidden beyond the horizon. All this makes Karaunj an invaluable treasure, worthy of any praise. An interesting place. I recommend a historical reference to better understand what you are considering)
After sunset, the sensations change noticeably. In winter, the complex is open until 18, admission is AMD 1,500 per person. 3.01.2025

An ancient place, according to the description. It looks interesting. They are trying to improve it - they make parking, lighting, there are souvenirs. But they charge 1500 drams, keep in mind.

It's a great place. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and took a rather hurried walk. There is a small trailer with a cash register at the entrance. There is no special infrastructure here, everything is very simple, a diagram with a description, benches, clean, neat, beautiful view and space and a mysterious history of occurrence.
I'm glad we managed to come here.

An amazing place! Not just individual menhirs, but a whole complex. And the menhirs themselves are extraordinary, they have conical holes, which suggests various thoughts. The landscape around is beautiful! And there is a strong energy. I think this place is on the same level as Karnak and Stonehenge.

An unexpectedly impressive place. It seems to be just stones, but there is something magical in the surrounding steppe.

It depends on what purpose you are going for and how much time you have left. If you have time to wander, go around all the stones, admire the views in all directions - fire. If you run or go on purpose, it's a little far, a little empty. You need to love archaeology, probably, or be open to new experiences. Otherwise, it will be boring

The place is very picturesque!!!
The stones are certainly interesting and make you ask a lot of questions !!!
But due to the fact that so much has been written about this place on the Internet, you expect more.

It's a magical place. It is inconceivable to the mind that megaliths built 20 thousand years ago are still standing! And they will probably stand for the same amount of time. Very atmospheric photos came out with golden grass. It's like some kind of Rohan

The place is interesting, but not very impressed, although it is called the Armenian Stonehage. A lot of large stones, arranged in a certain order. The purpose of the structure is still controversial: an ancient observatory, a ritual place or something else. The main thing that surprises is the way in which ancient people were able to create this structure without special tools.

I was not impressed. For the photo, only an art object is visible in the entrance to the left of the Karaunj.

An interesting place. I really wanted to see it. But I think that 1500 drams per person is expensive to look at the stones. A heavy wind was blowing and it was cold to walk. It was a warm September day, but it was really chilly on the mountain. My wife quickly froze in the wind and had to leave. I don't know if we'll come here a second time. But it's worth visiting once.

A very mysterious place!! On New Year's Eve according to the old Armenian calendar, on August 11 at 4 a.m., modern scientists discovered a strong surge of cosmic energy. On this day, the energy of all things is renewed.Everything was recorded by measuring instruments. These days, crowds of tourists flock to Karaunj. Many people come from different parts of the world to meditate. In the sky these days, you can clearly see the Orion belt and a lot of shooting stars.

The place is nothing special, unless of course you go into the depths of history. It is located in a wheat field and looks like ordinary stones. Well, if you drive in the immediate vicinity, you can stop by, but it's not worth paying special attention.

A very ancient observatory made of stones with holes. It's hard to imagine that at "that" time people could build such a thing. On August 11, at 4:00 a.m., a lot of people gather here to celebrate the so-called new year.At this time, the constellation of Orion is visible in the hole of the main stone.Unfortunately, we were a little later and also at night. The starry sky above the mountains is literally mesmerizing, you can admire it endlessly. An amazing place!

Ancient dolmens are built in a rather arbitrary way. The height of the stones is not very high, not Stonehenge :) but it is quite possible to stop by on the way, very beautiful views of the mountains, especially at sunset
