I got through to the guys at Cardan Repair (I found out about them after seeing their pickup truck with an advertisement at one of the gas stations, after reading the reviews), the guys offered to drive up to assess the possibilities (despite the fact that, according to them, they only work with the cardan removed). I drove up, Alexander assessed, immediately sentenced one of the joints, agreed on an estimate and deadlines. I waited until the cardan was removed and confirmed that it would be enough. I left the car at 10, I picked it up at 14!
