Every country has its own history, its own spirit, air and genetic memory. Nepal is special, its narrow streets with many shops are like labyrinths, but when you get to the main Durbar square, you feel as if you have passed through the portal of eternity and entered the world of palaces, pagodas, temples, scurrying merchants and yogis in fancy clothes, the fairy tale envelops and enchants, only our "drover guide" brings you back It's the 21st century, and I'm ready to beat it. Confused by the names of all these beauties, my jaw dropped at the ancient carvings of the palaces, my eyes darted all over the square, not knowing where to stop: either at the trade in strange things spread out under my feet, or at the exquisite palaces... And I also like to take pictures, just like in that fairy tale about a pipe and a jug. There is only one advice: come there alone, without a guide, when you get to another portal, you just have to enjoy and be glad that you are in ancient times and no one will disturb you.

A very atmospheric ancient place! I recommend you to visit if you are in Kathmandu. There are many famous restaurants nearby with delicious mo-mo (local dumplings). And if you walk a little further, you'll find a street where hippies used to hang out in the 50s and 60s. There is a market nearby with lots of authentic souvenirs.
