The park is very clean, spacious, lots of greenery and flowers. It's a pleasure to come for a walk. Independence Park, a good idea with a description of the periods and events associated with this period. But everything is in Kazakh. I really wanted to read the whole story, but unfortunately I couldn't.
There are 2 official languages in the country, so why is Russian ignored?

A pleasant place for walking and playing sports. Well-groomed flowers, shrubs, trees and crumbling architectural compositions: "Baytershym" with a broken balustrade and broken bas-reliefs, cracked steles with achievements of 20 years of independence, rusting pyramids of unknown purpose, an uncomprehending and dried fountain. In winter, you have to be very careful - at the central entrance and on the bridge to Ordabasy there are areas covered with unrealistically slippery tiles.
There are few people, so there is practically no infrastructure, no cafe, no toilet in sight.
It is very interesting to hear the wind howling in chains on high steles near the flag. Beautiful view of the city from the alley above the cliff to the road and the Koshkarat. The rotunda gazebos, surprisingly intact and clean, connect the past and the present...

It's a wonderful place. Not far from the train station. We arrived by train and took a walk there before flying to Moscow. Roses are very different and very fragrant. Calmly on a weekday. It's great with the baby!

The park is not the same as it was 7-8 years ago. 3/4 of the bulbs are lit in the lanterns, the bas-reliefs of the Friendship of Peoples were removed on the Bayterek, sealing all this with tiles, and crookedly and not beautifully. There is only one parody left of the fountain. But it is worth noting that the lawns and flowers are well maintained and watered. The trees are trimmed and, in general, there are pleasant sensations from the park. It is especially pleasant to sit on comfortable benches near the fountain in the evening. There is a place to go out with the children to get some air, enjoy the coolness but after sunset.

The park is large, there is a sports ground, not a big one. The fountain, however, is no longer working! There are many young trees, so there is little shade. In the evening, when the heat subsides a little, people go out with children, couples walk, the park is filled with people. You can go roller skating or cycling.

A great park, probably one of the best in the city.
A huge disadvantage is that it was launched (the lanterns are burning weakly and there are a lot of burnt-out bulbs, the marble is not well maintained and again with burnt-out lighting, the gazebos are in terrible condition painted by inadequate citizens, the fountain requires professional maintenance).
Huge + it's a lot of colors, it's really great, as much as possible and as much as possible.

Хороший парк, ухоженный, деревья и цветы всегда поливаются, поэтому парк зеленый и очень красивый, раньше был танцующий фонтан, к сожалению сейчас от него осталось жалкое подобие в десять маленьких струек, хотелось бы что бы восстановили фонтан

Классное место для прогулок! Можно полюбоваться на заказ. Летом вроде как фонтан работает музыкальный, но пока не довелось лично наблюдать. Также вдоль речки классно прогуляться и посидеть с кофейком to go

Побольше парков в нашем Солнечном Зелёном городке Шымкента. Акимат деньги на лево на права пусть не тратит. Что я заметил по городу стоят эти поливатели просто так воду тратят. Включают даже когда идёт дождь 🤦🏻♂️. Это так по моему деньги берут с казны

Хороший парк много людей утром занимаются перебежками или на турниках и брусьях. И вечером прогулятся можно фонтаны посмотреть. Жаль только вот беговых дорожек нет.
