Kibira is the hidden pearl of ancient Turkey! A little-known but impressive city with a rich history: a huge gladiatorial stadium, an ancient theater and an odeon with a mosaic of Medusa, an agora, baths, tombs and an early Christian church have been preserved here. The 2,000-year—old Roman fountain is particularly striking - a rare example of engineering art. The silence in the picturesque mountain valley and the almost complete absence of tourists create a special atmosphere. Ideal for those who want to feel the authentic spirit of antiquity without the crowds of tourists.

A beautiful ancient city without crowds of tourists (yet). The fountain and mosaic with a jellyfish in the Odeon are amazing!

Those who have not been to Kibira have not seen the Greek-style city (the inhabitants were not Greeks, by the way) in good preservation. It is a special pleasure to sit by the active fountain on the top of the mountain, stroll through the Agora, visit the Basilica and meditate at the fresco with the Gorgon medusa) I highly recommend coming here!

It's an awesome place that hasn't been visited by tourists yet. The weather was bad, but even the rain did not spoil the impression.

Kibira is an ancient Lycian city near Burdur. My favorite ruins, magnificent views from the hill and the awakening spring nature. A two-hundred-meter stadium where gladiators fought. Agora (city square), central street, fountain, odeon (theater), baths, tombs. Unfortunately, it was not possible to see the marble mosaic in the Odeon (now filled in).

An extraordinary place, just a pearl. You definitely need to read about this place to better understand what you see. A special gem is the Gorgon Medusa mosaic

It is definitely a site that should be visited and seen with new discoveries. although it is closest to us, it is a textured place of history that I regret that I have not visited all these years. Also, the museum is free with a Card.
