I came to a consultation with a real problem (combined dehydrated skin, peeling, closed comedones). I brought my own funds so that the specialist could see what could be left and what could be replaced. As a result, I received not help, but a stream of passive aggression. The first thing that confused me was the manner of communication. The cosmetologist talked down to me with dislike, as if I had to know the things she had to explain to me. Every word I said was accompanied by a sigh and hidden barbs. I got the impression that I was not her client, but a guilty schoolgirl. A specialist who does not respect the client and his choice has no right to work with people. Second. She looked at my SPF (Round Lab, with chemical filters, silicones, and oils) and said it could be washed off with plain water. This is the ABC: fat-soluble components are not washed off with water. They stay in the pores, clog them and cause comedones. It's not just a mistake, it's dangerous advice. A professional cosmetologist has no right not to know this. The third. She called my soft Bioderma cleanser gel a "harsh remedy", although it is one of the most gentle gels (Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Coco-glucoside). In the world of cosmetic chemistry, these simplified schemes of "gel = hard, milk = soft" have not been working for a long time. It all depends on the type of surfactants, not on what the product is called and what texture it has. There is a gel with ultra-soft surfactants, it is safer for the barrier than some kind of milk with aggressive emulsifiers and a bunch of oils that leave a film and require rubbing with a cotton pad. Fourth. She immediately stated that Round Lab and Celimax are "brands that Koreans don't know", that they are made only for export, and that horses and people are mixed in the compositions. But Round Lab is a real Korean brand that is sold in the largest Olive Young chain (an analogue of the Korean Golden Apple). Their Birch Juice sunscreen is a bestseller in Korea, with thousands of reviews from Korean users. Celimax is also a Korean brand, represented at the same Olive Young. Their noni series and ceramide toners are well known in the Korean market. Fifth. I did not buy the funds that were "prescribed" to me, because already at the consultation I felt disrespect and pressure. And she did the right thing. Then I showed the formulations to an independent person and it turned out that: milk with heavy oils (olive, grape seed), which leaves a film; tonic with comedogenic ether Ethylhexyl Palmitate, which is guaranteed to clog pores; dense occlusive cream with shea butter, which creates a greenhouse effect. Result: The consultation left a nasty aftertaste, at the moment I could barely restrain myself from just getting up and leaving. I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and given adequate advice, rather than just trying to sell the bank.
