Here we rather evaluate not the fortress itself, which in principle does not exist (a couple of stone one-story buildings and a restaurant), but the place of Abaat itself. Here it is luxurious, yes. Who has never been to Gagra, I would recommend staying here and walking around the area. There is also a magnificent view of the castle of the founder of the city. Plus, as a bonus, we got to the "fortress" at the moment when the bells were playing there, and so if in fact there are a couple of stone churches in this place and that's basically it. You can still have a delicious snack from the road if you start exploring the city from north to south. Or, on the contrary, they just arrived in Abaata.

A very beautiful place with an ancient history. The restaurant did not like either the interior or the overpriced menu. Prices for dishes are off the ceiling, probably because the chef is African American))) But the tea house is very even. Good menu, efficient and polite waiters. With almost a full landing, the girls served dinner in 15 minutes without fuss and unnecessary pathos.
