We visited this sanatorium with our family in 2018 and 2019. The overall impression is positive due to the proximity of the sea, the pine forest (in which the sanatorium is located), which together gives an unusual air! The building and the room stock are dilapidated and in need of repair. An island of Soviet Russia inside European Latvia. It's a pity that we lost him.

I had a rest in August 2013, in this sanatorium. The territory is large, protected forest, access to the sea. Calm down, be quiet. The staff is attentive. The nutritionist is very good. For a relaxing holiday. I agree that it's a bit boring, but for those who are looking for peace and relaxation from the hustle and bustle, it's just great. The air is just healing.

A great trip into the past. A quiet, peaceful place with wonderful nature... it's a pity that it's lost to us.

It is located on the outskirts of Jurmala in a protected pine forest with access to the white sandy seashore, the most famous sanatorium in Jurmala in Soviet times. Now it is morally and physically outdated, it is not being repaired, the furniture is old Soviet, the TVs are lamp-mounted. The treatment is the same (no treatment). The staff is polite, the sanatorium is clean, the food is good. Internet is available only in special places and in some suites (not all!). It's very boring, but you can go on all sorts of excursions, by minibus - to Jurmala, Riga (exactly an hour, 2 euros). Advantages: air, sea, pine trees, silence, Riga beer (bought in Jurmala in supermarkets Maxima and Rimi).

this is a typical nomenclature Soviet sanatorium: somewhere dilapidated, somewhere put in order. the service is quite cultural, there is no underlined "Latvian" :)))
