The same street that leads to the Tobacco Pier, where there is a model of the very ship Bandyrma, on which Ataturk arrived in Samsun in 1919. It is believed that Ataturk's landing in Samsun is considered the beginning of the Turkish revolution. If you want to see the real ship, which is now a museum, then you either need to walk further along the embankment, or take the tram in Samsun. By the way, cards for use on the tram can be purchased and replenished right at the stop.
