Kiev fortress or "Oblique caponier".The history dates back, if you dig deep, to the 12th century. It was then that the first fortification walls of the modern Kiev Pechersk Monastery appeared - they were destroyed by the Mongol–Tatars, then rebuilt again, over time they changed, rebuilt - but the "roots" go from here.
