The oldest cafe in Rome! Incredible! Famous guests have been visiting since 1760! Delicious atmosphere, delicious desserts, coffee, famous Tiramisu all over Rome! I recommend buying coffee beans and capsules with you! A magical place with an unforgettable atmosphere!

This is an amazing place filled with history. Andersen, Byron, Wagner, Goethe were here... but for us, perhaps the most important thing is that Gogol was here. Nikolai Vasilyevich did not just live in Rome (and lived for a long time), he was one of the first "ambassadors" of Italian culture. When I returned home, I brought cheeses, pasta and treated my friends. The recipe was simple - according to Gogol, "Butter and parmesan are what you need" -) By the way, if you go up the Spanish Steps from Cafe Greco to the end (to the luxurious hotel "from the new Mr. Ripley") and turn right, then in just three minutes you will reach the memorial plaque - "Gogol lived here". As for the cafe itself, it's crowded and expensive. You can wait in line (or arrive early); they always put you in jail and you don't have to wait long. The menu, as I said, is expensive, but drinking coffee "with Gogol" is worth it. -) Again, the cafe is located in the very center of the city. Stop, take a break, drink a cappuccino (of course, only in the morning -)) - and you can go on, discovering and rediscovering the great city.
