Interesting. The glacial conglomerate near Rakov is just a huge boulder 150 thousand years old , during the last fifth ice age this pebble was dragged here by an advancing glacier from the Scandinavian mountains, hence the name - Glacial conglomerate sandstone.
The word "conglomerate" means "to pile up." The glacial conglomerate near Rakov is "assembled into a pile" of pebbles and sand, compressed by time, pressure and geophysical processes into a dense stone.
It is easy to find a glacial conglomerate, it is located on the side of the Minsk-Volozhin highway at kilometer 35, it is impossible to drive and not notice it. Actually, during the construction of this road , a stone was dug up , which has now become a natural monument and another landmark of Belarus .
