The lower church of Kayakey (Greek name Panaia Pyrgiotissa) is an Orthodox church built in the 19th century. Until the 1960s, the church was used as a mosque. Currently, the Lower Church is closed to tourists due to the danger of collapse. The lower church and the streets next to it have been declared a museum by the Turkish Ministry of Culture, with a ticket office at the entrance selling tickets for 150 lira (3 euros). P.S.
