I've been going to Lumiera for several years now, and honestly, it's one of the most comfortable cinemas in the center of Almaty. It is very conveniently located right on the Arbat, near the Zhibek Zholy metro station - you can just get out and in a couple of minutes you can grab popcorn and go to the session. The most powerful thing is the atmosphere. The halls are small, but this makes it really cozy, there is no feeling of a huge noisy multiplex. The chairs are comfortable, the sound is good and the screens are normal - it's really nice to watch movies, especially in the evening. The lighting is soft, it doesn't hurt your eyes after the movie - it's a small thing, but it's noticeably thoughtful. I like that the repertoire is often updated - there are both Kazakhstani films and foreign novelties, so almost every week there is something to go to. Plus, there is a waiting area and where to have a snack, you can sit quietly before the session or after discussing the movie with friends. On the downside, sometimes the queues at the ticket office and bar can get heavy, especially on weekends, and it's better to buy tickets online in advance. But in general, the atmosphere, the sound, the comfortable chairs and the location cover all the minor flaws. For me, Lumiera is a place where you go not just to watch a movie, but to really relax. If you walk in the center, it's a must-go.

I love this movie theater. I visit it most of the time. Firstly, the large halls and comfortable armchairs perfectly immerse you in the atmosphere of the film, ensuring a comfortable stay. The second floor is a little worse, there are quite a few seats in the lobby. However, it is worth considering that payment in this cinema is carried out only by card, without the possibility of using a QR code at the bar or when buying tickets. This may cause inconvenience for those who prefer this payment method. But it's convenient that you can buy tickets online and stand in line for them. But the situation at the bar is deplorable 😓 Despite this, the atmosphere in the cinema is pleasant and comfortable, which makes it an excellent choice for film enthusiasts. I recommend this place for watching movies due to the large halls, comfortable chairs and well-equipped waiting rooms. ⭐️ The final score is 4 out of 5 due to the available card-only payment.

I really liked this location. A pleasant atmosphere, attentive attitude and thoughtful organization of the space create comfort right from the doorstep. Everything looked neat, clean and well-groomed, which immediately inspires confidence.
